I think it is in some parts of the world, while in others it is growing stronger.
I know when I was growing up, the thought of race didn't enter my mind until I learned about WWII and discrimination. Each of my friends looked different from one another, the color of their skin was never an issue. It was a thought that never entered my mind until we learned about all the hate people inflicted onto eachother because of religious or race beliefs.

I agree, that is all they talk about now days. I think it is time for people to come together and live life as God has intended it to be. So that all people of every color could live in happiness.

I think they should put all the racist people on one lsland and let them do what the hell they want to do. and leave the people that want to be happy alone.

Not really because there are still people all over the world who are racist. And the parts of the world that are not racist are in the north and racism wasnt really a big deal there. I live in the south where racism was and still is today.Racism affects my everyday life. So i feel that it is not fading away.

It's just changing direction. Rather than focusing on just race, it's now focusing on religion as well. And also on culture. It's not just black and white anymore... now it's also Middle Eastern and Asian, Muslim and Christian, etc. It doesn't matter how far we come as a civilization. Some people will always find some group to hate. They just can't help themselves. It's ignorance and intoleranse at the highest level. And it's really REALLY sad.

I answered a similar poll a few weeks and go. Here's what I believe. When the world has reached the point where there's so much inter-racial procreation that we all look alike, then racism will fade. Of course, by then there'll be some other issue separating people.
