Argentine court barred a rabbi from using his title as a Jewish leader on a ballot.

This happened in Buenos Aires, Argentina. They don't have the same religious protections as America.
I wonder if other religious leaders could use their titles. Would the court deny Pope John Paul from using "pope" on the ballot? What about Reverend Jesse Jackson using "reverend" when he ran for president?
The court said it didn't not approve of using a title with a "positive connotation." Using that logic, the court would bar elected leaders from using their elected office title in re-elections -- President Obama couldn't use "president" on the ballot for his 2012 re-election.
I hope the court wrote its decision with sincerity and not anti-Semitism.
The court’s three judges acknowledged that Bergman may be better known as "Rabbi Sergio Bergman" than by his name alone. However, the court said that the title of rabbi can suggest positive connotations that are not appropriate for an election ballot.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
To go against this is to go against one in love, and to go against one in love is to ask for separation which Jesus is against for to have separation is asking for a human to dehumanize a human leading to persecution and humans calling for incarceration, and war. Mans wisdom is foolish anyway. God wants to draw all of us to him,and to have a sprite of rejection is not the spirit of God .I also see no Maliciousness intent about the Rabi being on the ballot ether.

Me too.
We have plenty of pastors, doctors, etc who run for political office.. I never see "Dr" Pastor... Imam... etc on the ballots..just their name.
I understand that the title may be important to many ..yet a ballot should only have their name...
Granted their laws are different from ours, yet I would also not expect our courts to start allowing titles on our ballots either...
