I couldn't bring myself to choose my own quote but I appreciate the honor of it being part of your poll.
The Church seems to be able to link almost everything they deem to be evil to sex. But I think the only ones with the sexual problems are the priests themselves.
One of the rites of passage in the parochial school I went to for 8 years was that in the 8th grade, the Pastor would give the "sex talk" to the girls and then to the boys. We heard about the evils of wearing nail polish and of wearing lipstick and eye make up and how our dresses should be to the knee. It was really embarrassing at that age to have an old man in a black cassock talk to us about those things. Any way I'm sure the boys got the male version of whatever we were told. Seems to me as I remember it, he never really gave us any info on the actual mechanics of sex. It was just a list of "occasions" to sin, meaning things that could lead to sex, like dancing, kissing etc.
I don't even think I knew what "having sex" really was at that point in my life because I remember being totally appalled when I learned what you were supposed to do to have sex. I mean the whole concept really does border on the ridiculous when you're 11 years old.
But back to the question, every thing the Church does is based on sex whether it's not being allowed to become priests, nuns traveling in pairs, no dances for school kids, etc.
Everything they do, every rule they have comes down to the sex of the individual in question.
Women are bad because Eve lured Adam with the apple from the tree of knowledge. And he took a bite, his eyes were opened and he and Eve got down to business. And it snowballed from there.
Bottom line is they all have sexual problems and hang ups. They are not living a normal life therefore they cannot act normal or even think like a normal human being because they have stifled a really big part of what being human is.
By the way, you have a picture with a statement about Yoga being evil. When I was working at the church one day, the Senior Center which was next door, called and asked if they could use our lower hall for their Yoga Class for Seniors. I told them the room was available but that I had to ask the Pastor. When I asked him, he said no they could not use it for Yoga because Yoga leaves the body open to demons. So I had to tell them no. That was probably the craziest thing they ever said to me.

I am leaving sodahead or should i say i wont be a loud voice on this site anymore, the reasons are many. One being i do not like what this site has turned me into, since i joined this site about 5 months before the election of 2008 i have came across the most ignorant, hateful and low key racist people i have encountered since i was old enough to understand what racism is.

I have allowed this site to turn me into one of them, i have tried to deal with facts and logic, i have tried to be nice to everyone who has contacted me, but to no avail. I have been called a racist, a Obama worshiper and a welfare recipient all because i support Obama or because i am black ( of course they dont say it out right), even though i work two jobs.

Since day one on this site there has been nothing but propaganda and hate allowed against democrats, liberals and progressives, yet when it is given back to the conservatives i have seen loud outspoken democrats deactivated.

The ignorance is epic, the propaganda can be spotted right from the beginning, it has been swallowed, rind and all. I cannot allow this in my life anymore, i refuse to be brought down to their level, i refuse to be assaulted, i refuse to be told i am traitor, by people who never bothered to even join the military. I refuse to be told i am living on the democrat plantation, and nothing is done by the moderators of this site.

I refuse to allow Fef and his cohorts to change me into some ignorant xenophobe, i refuse to allow my votes in polls to be used by Fox or right wing conservative media outlets, yes Fef channels all our polls and answers to conservative think tanks. He will deny it of course, but i have tracked how Fef got his start up money and i have seen exact answers and topics on the Drudge report and Brietbart's websites.

This does not mean i wont come on the site from time, to time, because i will. And it does not mean i wont work hard to re-elect Pres. Obama, i just wont allow my views to be twisted into talking points.

I suggest all progressives, liberals and democrats to also refrain from coming on this site(regularly), Fef is making money off all of us and i wont allow it any more.

Sure. "Liberal" can be summed up in 2 words: "Equal Opportunity." A liberal believes that an inner city kid born into section 8 "poor" housing should have the same opportunities to succeed as a person born in a rich gated neighborhood. This means he should have access to a good education, a good infrastructure, health care, clean air and water and basic living standards regardless of where he happened to be born.

Conservative's believe in a natural order. Rush Limbaugh said recently, "Some people were just born to be slaves..." This sums up conservative thought nicely. Rich people are just "better" than poor people and that's just the way it is. Liberals believe no one should be a slave.

People divide "liberal" into 2 categories, "Social Liberal" and "economic liberal" --economic is as I've described above... "Social liberal" isn't as concerned with preserving what some people call, "traditional values." which is why they support same sex marriage --but it all falls under "equality."

Social conservative policy can be summed up in a single sentence:
"If it makes a rich white straight Christian male uncomfortable or inconveniences him in any way, it's wrong and bad; conversely, if it makes a straight rich white Christian male feel better and glorifies him.. it's right and good.

Economic conservative policy goes like this: If it makes Exxon Mobile's stock go up it's good and right. If it might make their stock go down it's bad, wrong, and makes Baby Jesus cry.
