I wouldn't vote for him, but in all honesty, he is the lesser of several evils. At least he supports womens rights, and has put corrupted health insurance companies in their place who have been royally screwing women out of their money. Also, I didn't see any other president even attempt to help us with health care costs. Maybe his plan wasn't the best, but it's a step towards the right direction.

What about Medicaid and Medicare? My not so well to do good friend used public assistance for her and her child for everything they needed. Now she has to buy it or pay a penalty. Health insurance companies love Obamacare, now everyone HAS to buy it. Why do you think the AARP was so big on it? They sell LOTS of insurance.

He supports Sharia Law which means women have the right to be slaves for the man they marry. If she disobeys the man ,he has the right to beat or kill her.

Wow, because the loss of the entire country is only worth women's rights? Newsflash, nothing about women's rights will change either way. Usually candidates attack or support abortion, gay marraige/rights, ect. It always gets swept under the rug after election. Yes, their methods of attack are delightfully tacky, but it may come as a shock that those issues are minor as opposed to losing our nation and way of life. When not one of us has our rights, you'll feel awfully silly when you worried about only a couple of groups rights.

I truly respect your heart and dedication to our President. But I must also add, respectfully, you're talking to a bunch of ignorant, racist, one sided mind thinking people who most likely are doing the things they are preaching against to the rest of America. For instance, homosexuality?!?! Some of these people do not think for themselves, but instead follow the lead of the highest paid drummer. The pure bred parents who always taught them they were inferior because they are the superior race. The ones who are so greedy they will starve their own to get on top. And let us please not forget the poor people who think they may get ahead if they vote GOP or the group that is trying to destroy all groups that are unlike them so they and their children may some day run the world. These people have in more ways than one told everyone how they don't respect women's rights, their plans for resegragation, ending pell grants, outlawing all abortions for all including rape victims and victims of incest! This is not just about Obama, this more like a dictatorship!

The media has done their job well, I see. Do you REALLY believe a woman's right to choose will be taken away? They're all distractions to keep the focus off his miserable economic record.

If you're trying to out law abortion to all, including women who have been raped and are victims of incest, that is taking away a woman's right to choose. Being a victim doesn't mean you have to be forced to be reminded.

Yeah, this is what I'm talking about! Romney and Ryan have said they will out law abortions to rape and incest victims. This is what so many republican supporters are oblivious to some of the idiotic things that are going on. You can't take education from thousands of people who are trying to make their situations better by going to college. Killing the pell grant is going to kill the future of our young people. How fair is it to cut taxes for the rich and take away the promise of education for the less fortunate? The only people to benefit from the GOP are white men and the rich.

The right for a woman to choose will never be taken away, it's been law too long. There would be world war 3. When I was graduating High School, kids worked their way thru college if Mom and Dad couldn't afford it. I had quite a successful career with a 2 year Electronics degree from our local Community College. I worked every summer on a farm from age 14 on to save up. I worked at the college to get tuition breaks. To me, it's like credit cards...it's too easy (and encouraged) to rack up so much debt. Kids are graduating with what amounts to a house mortgage even before they get a job. I don't think that's right either. Where there's a will, there's a way. People don't always appreciate what they don't have to work for. There needs to be a happy medium and there are no medium people in office any more, they're all way out in their own little world.

Peewee, I do understand your point of view and I was raised to do the same exact methods. I too have gone to college and have earned 2 bachelor's degrees and I am a licensed stylist and had to work my way through college. I mean no disrespect by any means, but when you went college, there were jobs, parents could pay for college and the cost of college was not as expensive as it is today. There are young people who are working and going to school and they don't get any other help. As for the ones that are going on the pell grant, they are appreciating it by making the grades and doing community service. They have jobs that will help with their expenses as well. Now for the women, Paul Ryan stated that he and his running mate are planning to out law abortions, including victims of crimes. There is no law that protects women from what they plan to do. I work in policy and I know that if they try, they will pass this.

Right, my situation was unusual, I had no kids and didn't get married till I was 40 to a man with grown kids. Had the perfect job at IBM as a technician.... I lived conservatively (still do) but flipped houses (when you still could), put the max allowed into my retirement & stock options. Remember them? I don't know much about Pell grants so I can't comment on that. But they'll never outlaw abortions. I don't like them, but it will forever be an option and should be. I'm adopted and thought if I ever wanted kids I'd adopt older kids that are caught up in 'the system'. Instead I run a Border Collie Rescue group and just 'adopt' neighborhood kids and do 4H with them, ride my horses & stuff.

Peewee, you are the classiest lady I've ever met on this site and I respect you a lot! I too do not believe in abortions and I strongly argue the case of adoption as an alternative, yet women's rights are very important to me. I study human behavior and I love policy. It is very scarce when I meet up with people with such beautiful hearts who can see the worlds good. I feel that your idea to help children in this manner is very much needed and should be looked at as a priority instead of abortions. There are so many children who are in the "system" who live there until they are too old and have to live life the best way they can. I met a few in college who are my friends today. This is one of the reasons why we have to keep the Pell Grant, for kids who aren't blessed with parents and have no other way of getting ahead. You are going to be a great mom or organizer someday and i pray its sooner than later. You know your calling. Bless you and thank you so much for the best conversation ever!

I don't know why your talking to me that way, but you're not going to talk to me as if I am a dog and not expect me to say nothing to you. If this is everyone's space, STOP TELLING ME TO SHUT UP AND MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS LIKE EVERY OTHER PERSON WITH COMMON SENSE THAT IS READING THIS! Now leave me alone!

You speak about the freedom of speech, what about the freedom to choose to carry an unwanted pregnancy of the man that raped an abused you? You can stand up against talking BS, but say nothing when it comes to subjecting a woman to further punishment of a crime that has been committed against her. You will never know what its like so I'll explain! If someone steals all of your money and gets caught, but the judge tells you, you can't get it back until after the trail that is scheduled for next year and you have nothing to live off on in the mean while. That is what a woman who is raped and there is a pregnacy as a result feels like if you make her have that baby! If you're going to make noise, make sense!
