My only objection to 'gay marriage' is the use of the word 'marriage' to describe such a union. Civil unions are within the see of government. Marriages are not. Marriage is a sacrament of the church. As such the government has no place/say in the matter whatsoever. Biden is right: it IS up to the various faiths to decide whether gay 'marriage' is acceptable.

But then, the government has no business granting people of any preference the permission to marry at the outset. To me one of the most absurd notions ever to come down the pike is that of the 'marriage license.'
