Doesn't it seem real stupid and nasty that all the twits that yelled, screamed, ranted and raved for obamacare have gotten waivers while those of us who didn't want obamacare get Punked with the bill for them.

Stop pretending it didn't happen, and stop pretending that making it worse is going to "fix" it. We've spent more than that bombing people in other countries over the last 10 years. We are the very last civilized nation on Earth that does not provide basic health care to their citizens. It benefits EVERYone, whether you realize it or not.

I am very glad you are a wealthy person, but this is not about your vast wealth. Sorry.

Yes, it is about their wealth. They're going to be paying for your healthcare 'whether you realize it or not'. U.S. government run ANYTHING is going to be corrupt and will eventually fail, period.

And yet, you seemed to miss where every other industrialized nation on the planet does this, some with higher satisfaction rates than the US, ALL done vastly cheaper.

We spend more on health care in this nation per GDP, BEFORE Obama, than most of the other nations that provide health care for ALL of their citizens. Idiocy. There is literally NO one that actually thinks our health care system was functional. NO one. Not even the republicans. The fight has been over HOW to fix it.

This "wedge" issues is being played out by greedy, ignorant, individualistic poeple that have no idea what they are talking about. I, personally, wish we had single payer like Canada. But, literally anything than the "for profit commodity" health care we dole out here in the US. It is barbaric, exhorbitantly costly, and plain ridiculous.

Yes, healthcare in the U.S. has been very costly and rarely anything to write home about, but government run ANYTHING is not the answer and never will be. Obamacare costs have been hugely underestimated and the ten year numbers are now pushing $2.5 to $3 trillion . . . all of which WILL fail, eventually.

Those cost projections are so loose you may as well have just gone with 10000000000000000000000000000... over 10 years.

The health budget in my country the UK is around $40 billion per year, factor in the population and you'll be looking at around $300 billion per year.

That's for FULL coverage across the board and all medical professionals as public sector employees.

That's 3 trillion over 10 years approximately for full scale 'social healthcare' for every single US citizen.

Obamacare is so watered down from ^ it's unbelievable, you're looking at minimal costs compared to GDP over those 10 years.

If you bring up the deficit, in 2 years time the US will not be bankrolling any wars so you will see a significant bulk of yearly debt increase gone and if you then factor in public sector cuts of around 10% across the board it will be well balanced to GDP.

I don't want to be paying for theirs and mine, All those that wanted it are getting waivers or going to get it free and those of us who didn't are. My costs are gonna skyrocket and mine already were way more than we were "promised" as deferred compensation. And I got more time in the health care field than you got years on this planet.

    Right.

You don't want to pay for other peoples healthcare?

But you'll pay for other peoples education?...

So education is a right and quality of life is a privilege?

Marxism/Socialism are different ideologies and we participate in neither.

But I wont be distracted by that provocation...

We have one of the best standards of care in the world, our waiting times are ridiculously efficient and the doctors are paid minimum $150,000 per year and up to around $350,000 a year. That sound like a broken system to you?

If the US went full government healthcare overnight the savings would be enormous to every American.

Taxes wouldn't have to rise to pay for it and the amount of money saved from not paying health insurance nationally would be astronomical.

You're basically saying you're happy letting a fellow American die because he fell on hard times and had no insurance?

You are one chalice human being my friend...

Be sure to read the Tax List at the end.

This is about as clear and easy to understand as it can be. The article below is completely neutral, neither anti-republican or democrat. Charlie Reese, a retired reporter for the Orlando Sentinel, has hit the nail directly on the head, defining clearly who it is that in the final analysis must assume responsibility for the judgments made that impact each one of us every day. It's a short but good read. Worth the time. Worth remembering!

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The President does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a President to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The President can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House now? He is the leader of the majority party. He and fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.

If the Army & Marines are in Iraq and Afghanistan it's because they want them in Iraq and Afghanistan ...

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses. Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees...

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!
What you do with this article now that you have read it... is up to you.
This might be funny if it weren't so true.
Be sure to read all the way to the end:

    Tax his land,
    Tax his bed,
    Tax the table,
    At which he's fed.

    Tax his tractor,
    Tax his mule,
    Teach him taxes

    Tax his pay,

    To tax his ass.

    Tax all he has
    Then let him know
    That you won't be done
    Till he has no dough.

    When he screams and hollers;
    Then tax him some more,
    Tax him till
    He's good and sore.

    Then tax his coffin,
    Tax his grave,
    Tax the sod in
    Which he's laid...

    Put these words
    Upon his tomb,
    'Taxes drove me

Perhaps many of these groups leaders, like the big unions, knew from the beginning that they were going to be able to get waivers from their puppet. We can't ignore the lucrative payoffs to the unions from this President for their support. This is high level politics in general, and it's business as usual for the Chicago crowd.

On top of everything else,, they JUST reported this morning that the projected costs of Obamacare is up another 111 Billion dollars BEYOND the amount that we were told by Obama..

And DON'T count on ALL of this going away if and when the Supreme Court strikes Obamacare down.. They have been putting ALL the pieces together since they passed the bill in DEFIANCE of the orders of the lower Court.. ALL the bureaucracies,, ALL the added personal.. ALL the clinics.. Already MOST of the program is SO embedded that it'll be next to impossible to root it all out.. EVERY individual aspect of Obamacare from here on out is going to become a separate Court case from here on out.. It'll take 50 years at LEAST to get rid of this Obamination and THAT'S if the Supreme Court Strikes down the Overall bill....

Remember this the next time a Ron Paul supporter tells you that if Paul doesn't make it,, it doesn't matter who ELSE you put in there..
