Earlier this week we showed SodaHeads a video clip of Jessica Beagley, a 36-year-old Anchorage woman, forcing her 8-year-old child to keep hot sauce in his mouth and take cold showers as punishment for behavioral problems at school.
The video is from a November episode of "Dr. Phil," so you may have seen it before, but Beagley was just recently charged with misdemeanor child abuse because of her actions.
Here's an except from the original "Hot Sauce Mom" story:
Most SodaHeads thought the hot sauce treatment was way out of line, but there are always dissenters. So it's time to take a deeper look into the demographics behind our results and see who they were.
Let's dive.

Here's an except from the original "Hot Sauce Mom" story:
She could get up to a year in prison along with her $10,000 fine, and The Anchorage Daily News reports it only took the jury one day to decide she was guilty.
Henry Paul, a Mount Sinai psychiatrist, told ABC News, "The stun -- the shock -- the acute anxiety can also lead to [a] long-term type of post-traumatic stress disorder that we often see in criminals who are incarcerated.

There are other ways to teach a child right from wrong without degrading them.
not wasabi though....AAIIIEEEEE... That stuff....scares me...
On the other hand my moms psychological "endless silence" or mean words hurt 10X more in the long run..
i was raised up on good old belt on the ass believe me once that strip of lather hit me one good time i never did it again lol
Like i said earlier hot sauce is ok depending on what the child did to deserve it.
eventually, even time-outs are going to be considered child abuse!
how are we expected to discipline our children anymore?
if i ever said something bad, i got the hot sauce.
if i ever did something bad, i got the paddle or belt.
did it hurt? absolutely!
was it a terrible experience? without a doubt!
did it teach me not to do bad things? you bet it did.
time outs didn't work for me. writing lines didn't work for me either.
but as soon as i saw my mom reach for the paddle or the hot sauce, i was on my knees begging for forgiveness.
My friend LOVES hot sauce, the punishment would be taking it away from her.
