I am an American first. I am German French English Dutch Cherokee and Blackfoot heritage. But like I said before I am American. I did ten years of my life in the armed services to defend this country. Been to 19 different countries were most of the people wished they were living in this country because of the freedoms we take for granted. I was raised half my life in west Texas were there is alot of racisam. I had never even seen a Asian or Black person until we moved to Oklahoma that is how seperated it was in the 60's and early 70's. My father worked the oil fields and supported five kids. Times were tough. I was working at the age of 14 to help with the the up keep of the home. I had many jobs from my first cleaning the grease traps and grill and grease traps at a small hamburger place after closing to digging ditches to lay underground phone cables to working at a meat company cleaning out the stalls my worst job.untill I did ten years in the military. Wile in the Navy I made alot of friends in the military of all colors and of national back grounds. I was in the United States Navy stationed on many different ships. Discharged for medical reasons due to an injury which made me 50% Disabled. So I went back to school and got an education. I now work in a phone center and talk to people all over the country and yes I even have to deal with predjudice from other white people because of my accent they think they have a country bumpkin on the phone. That is until they realize that country bumpkin they have been talking to and arguing with about the terms and conditions of their contract has a masters degree in business and an associates degree in business law. The only issue that I have is when people don't respect themselves or the people around them. What bothers me the most is when a black person calls another a nigger and thinks that it is ok. That tells me something about that person. It tells me that they are being racist against their own people. I don't go around calling my black friend a nigger or my white friend a honky or my or my mexican friends a wetback or even my gay friend and co-worker a faggot, I call them by their name. I feel that if a person does not want to be called a certain name then they should not call their friends the same name or for that matter their enemy. Something called the ( Golden Rule ). I was at a nice place to eat and some young black men came in calling each other a nigger. The gentelman that owns the place is a freind of mine an elderly black man I've known most of my adult life He asked them to leave if they were to continue that kind of talk in his establishment. They looked at him like he was crazy. They left and he said that he was mad as hell that they didn't have enough common sense to know that they were degrading themselves in public. The first thing to getting respect is to show some respect for yourself. I keep hearing durring most of my lifetime about white unjust manner. Before the black people start complaining about white unjust manner what about the black unjust manner they place upon themselves.
