As if the death of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other U.S. officials wasn't enough, violence continues in the Middle East in protest of an American-made, anti-Muslim film that portrays Prophet Mohammed as a womanizer, killer and child molester.
Clashes between protesters and security forces outside the U.S. Embassies in Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen and Sudan have resulted in a handful of deaths so far. Protesters continue to burn U.S. flags and attempt to storm U.S. Embassies across the Middle East.
Do you think the controversial film should have been made in the first place? Or was it a poor move considering the hyper-sensitive relationship between the East and West right now?
CBSNEWS.COM reports:
Clashes outside U.S. Embassies in Sudan, Tunisia and Cairo; At least 3 dead in demonstrations held in several nations after Friday prayers, as protesters denounce anti-Islamic film
Terrorists do not need an excuse for terrorizing, rioting, murdering, & destruction of property. We give into them when we allow movies, cartoons, book burning, etc. to be their excuse. The leaders of the USA are cowards & idiots for putting the blame on a movie. This would make more sense if you were a spiritually mature Christian.
As a sidebar, what I saw of the movie trailer revealed to me that whoever made it had bad tastes in scripts, actors, & sets, as the movie seems to be pretty cheesy & poorly put together. However, I'm not a professional movie critic, so what do I know? Bottom line, though, is that once freedom of speech is removed from a country, we're lost, dead in the water, gone as a nation. We don't have to like what others say, but we've got to allow them the right to say it. THAT is biblical ... free will.
This has been in the planning stag for a long time to happen on 9/11 the film set it off the White House knew about this they were warned and did nothing while 4 America's were killed, and America was attacked and our leader is more concerned about getting re-elected.
IF WE ALLOW HIM TO BE RE-ELECTED WE DESERVE EVERYTHING WE GET.
I don't know what warning(s) President Obama received about this Libya thing.
we have brought alot more than violence and we are not forcing you into are religion.
our religion does behave like this, we respect your right as you respect ours, but there are a few people who don't know how to fight for our rights, because they were taken away. we are not asking for war but for peace. war was our last option, it was the only thing they could do to be heard. they movie about anti-islam shows people wrong things that aren't true about our religon? wouldn't you be hurt to see all your people be so disrespected?
Have you ever wondered why people rave on and on about how much Christians suck and how eager they are to blaspheme Jesus in every imaginable way just to piss us off for a cruel laugh? It's because they know that Christians won't react violently. They know they can get away with bullying Christians. But at the first sign of trouble (like with radical Muslims), they clam up like the cowards they are.
Regardless of how much something hurts your feelings it does not justify any of the actions these people are taking.
I suspect the people that came up with this scheme knew EXACTLY what the radical fringe in Islam would do.
If the reverse happened here, many Christians would be irritated. But the Westboro Baptists would no doubt erupt in rage and burn Korans again.
Remember after 9/11 Muslims in America were persecuted?
Well, they have MORE religious loons per capita in the poor Islamic Countries than we do.
And the makers of the film knew that.
On the other hand, what is the difference between an offensive film and an offensive action, such as the burning of the American flag?
Lesson #1. It is dangerous to insult the "religion of peace.".
Lesson #2. If you must insult the "religion of peace," be prepared to defend yourself."
"Men ought either to be indulged or utterly destroyed. If you merely offend them they take vengeance. If you annihilate them they are unable to retaliate. Any injury done to a man ought to be such that vengeance cannot be feared."
