Proggies React to Wisconsin Defeat
By Neal Boortz
As expected, the libs and the proggies tried to spin the news of Scott Walker’s victory. But without facts or logic on their side, it led to reactions that spanned from the sublime to the ridiculous. I’ve tried to somewhat categorize the reaction …

The fact is that these proggies can’t understand why people are sick of being suckered by government employee unions with their own tax dollars.
== == == Several months ago I was opining and writing columns stating that Scott Walker had nothing to worry about; that he would survive the recall election in Wisconsin. In recent days, however, I started getting a little antsy. I was concerned that the more rational Wisconsin voters had been lulled into a complacency about this recall election, and were about to be sandbagged by the unions and the union money that was pouring in from all over the country. It was a resounding victory for Scott Walker. Unions took it on the chin. They will not – at least not now – turn back the reforms enacted by Walker that have already resulted in improvements in the Wisconsin economic picture. The principal reform? Government employee unions no longer have collective bargaining rights, with the exception of police and firefighters. Here is the way it works when government employee unions can engage in collective bargaining. Even union hero George Meany and FDR thought it was absurd to allow government employee unions to bargain collectively with their government employers. We’ve seen how unions can run a government into bankruptcy with their demands .. and now that’s come to a screaming halt in Wisconsin. The unions tried their intimidation tactics … getting people to sign enough petitions for the recall of Scott Walker. But then the bane of unions came into play --- the hated secret ballot. The unions could threaten and cajole people into signing the petition .. but could not control them when they walked into the voting booth. Why do you think unions want to do away with secret ballots in union elections? Unions just hate to see their threatening and intimidation tactics go to waste when their target slips behind the curtain of a voting booth. Congratulations Scott Walker. Now --- hope some other governors and state legislatures are watching. By the way … the teachers unions in Chicago are going to have a strike vote today. They want a 30% increase in pay. Oh sure .. they’re worth that and more! Right? read the rest here: http://www.boortz.com/weblogs/nealz-nuze/
