Once again the left puts their thumb on the scales with activist left-wing moderators.

Why are liberals so afraid of a fair fight?

This statement from the league of Women
    voters says it all !

The Commission has moderated the 1988, 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004 and 2008 debates. Prior to this, the League of Women Voters moderated the 1976, 1980, 1984 debates before it withdrew from the position as debate moderator with this statement after the 1988
    Presidential debates:

"the demands of the (two campaign organizations) would perpetrate a fraud on the American voter."

The Commission was then taken over by the (Democratic and Republican) parties forming today's version of the CPD.

I was thinking President Obama would not get a fair shot but after reading all the comments, I think he will get a fair opportunity.

Not many moderators would be unbiased, if you wanted someone who was unbiased you would have to get someone from another country and even then they will develop opinions

I really dont know much about the moderators to be fair, but I do like a miss match, It is not hard to see that the moderator shows thier true colors. The debates, so so watching how the moderators actions are is the best show.

There is no such thing as fair, it is a subjective measure made by those who perceive an event. It is BS, just like the rest of the dependency party crap. Regarding Christy and his obesity, I would contend that for the majority of this nation's history our most heralded leaders were obese men.

I don't know about the Candy Crowley from CNN but with Jim Lehrer of PBS and Bob Schieffer of CBS, you have to be kidding. Fairness is the furthest thing from the minds of those two far-left "journalists".

First, Schieffer is from CBS - former home of Dan Rather who used a fraudulent document to try and change the outcome of a presidential election - and it wasn't in the Republican's favor! More recently, CBS's much vaunted "60 Minutes" conveniently cut about 20 seconds from an interview with Paul Ryan, wherein he had made the point that his plan to reform Medicare would not affect those who have relied upon it in their retirement plans, it would not affect anyone over the age of 55 - he mentioned his own retired mother in Florida. You see, it would have been inconvenient for the liar in the White House that CBS and the other networks have supported so vociferously over the past four years to have his lies proven wrong on CBS - leave that to some other, more honest outlet!!! Jim Lehrer, PBS??? What can you say?? Have you ever listened to the leftist, liberal drivel coming out of PBS???

Why are third parties shut out of the debates?

What are they going to debate?

Who loves "clean coal" the most?

Who is a bigger friend to Israel?

Our trade deficit with Communist China?

I will not be wasting my time on those two corporate pitchmen.

I very highly doubt it. Obama, with what he has done as President for the past 3 1/2 years, he shouldn't even get a second chance at President. He should be immediately impeached and his citizenship revoked. Send him off to Iran or maybe some other socialist country that he wants to turn us into

Why would anyone even dream that leftists from MSM might be "fair"? In 2008 none of them (that includes Lehrer) asked a single question about the economy - and that was not long after Bush and Paulson and Bernanke appeared in tears and invented TARP. Nor did anyone question Obama's birth in Kenya or his eligibility or even his citizenship.

Why do we leave it up to the liberals to pick the moderators? Thats like asking the gang members to be on the jury. Why don't we pick our own moderators and invite the opposition to debate at our venue?

Ought to be as in legal arbitration - a panel of three.. Each candidate chooses one and that pair chooses the third.

Oh well, a debate between equal evils is a big joke anyway.
