Once again the left puts their thumb on the scales with activist left-wing moderators.

Why are liberals so afraid of a fair fight?

I love Cindy Crowley and Bob Schieffer both are experienced, smart professionals. I suspect those who say no just enjoy feeling victimized and/or don't know these professionals.

No and I am considered a liberal by many. They need to toss names in a hat and pick in a public forum. The righties always cry leftist when it comes to the media. They could also just have all FAX moderators and then the righties would have to shut up. debates only show one side of the canidates antway. What and who is backing them is far more important.

Absolutely NOT! I'm surprised they didn't just as well name the President's Press Secretary to moderate a debate.

As examples: Crowley recently called Harry Reid an "honorable man" after he quoted anonymous sources accusing Romney of not paying taxes. Also, here's a quote from Crowley when she questioned Gingrich in May:
“Do you have a problem with being inclusive, because most people do look at Republicans, going ‘They’re a conservative bunch of white guys who want to protect Big Oil.’ And now you’re even hearing Republicans saying, ‘It’s not big enough. We haven’t opened up the tent door.’...It’s not as diverse as the Democratic Party. You’d concede that.”

Schieffer, who called his 1989 anti-Reagan book "accurate" but "not entirely true," has a longer history than Crowley of being pro-DemocRAT and anti-Republican. Just yesterday, Schieffer FALSELY claimed Ryan Budget "Really Slashes Into Social Programs." On "60 Minutes" the night before, Schieffer pressed Romney and Ryan on the false narrative that the wealthiest pay "the lowest tax rates."

Lehrer has moderated previous debates, and he also has a history of slanting the debates to the left. One worth noting is a 2000 debate that was so one-sided and pro-Gore that even the liberal biased "Saturday Night Live" poked fun at it. Among other things, Lehrer echoed Gore's talking points in his questions.

I have never seen any candidates debate where I felt that the moderators truly asked equally fair and unbiased questions designed to give both candidates equal opportunity to respond. The media today has forgotten how to ask intelligent questions. Questions are carefully pre-approved, just as for the now non-existent press conferences where reporters who dare to ask unapproved questions are banned from further conferences. We haven't had freedom of the press in at least four years and lack of media neutrality has been evident for far longer. A truly skilled reporter/moderator/commentator should be so proficient and neutral in their job that the audience is unable to determine their own personal political leanings/feelings-not an easy job and certainly not one that is done by the present big name personalities.

This SUCKS! Why does CNN who's rating are in free fall and who are known to push a left wing agenda get to host a debate when Fox who is killing them in the ratings gets nada? And CBS was forging documents a few years ago. Are you kidding me? They are hosting? WTF!

Fox is killing them in ratings because most Fox viewers are the extreme right hate mongers who live for controversy not truth and objectivity. Fox is the "fox" guarding the Republican hen house. Or should that be rooster houses since they also attack women's rights.

Good grief... only a koolaid drinking libtard that wants to censor Fox would spew this kind of crap. Blah Blah Blah

No, Fox is killing CNN in the ratings because CNN has an obvious left wing agenda. The very thing you accuse Fox of is exactly what is wrong with CNN. And yet, if Fox is so slanted, then why are they not losing viewers? Your argument is invalid. CNN and the rest of the left wing media are losing viewers because real Americans are sick and damn tired of your lies...

.... for example, like you comment

Along with a good dose of hate-spin.

It's pretty odd to reference to Jesus. The reason FOX has the highest ratings and views is because they tell the truth about Obama.

Yeah, but they also put a rather hefty hate spin on it. I'd prefer it if they just stripped opinion out of it and gave facts. Perhaps even try to contradict themselves. Find the balance ^_^.

Yeah, there is no "fair and balance" in any news media. FOX tells the truth but everything they say is bad things about Obama.

Saying bad things about Obama may simply be telling the truth.

CBS did something a few years ago saying bad things about Bush. The difference was that what they had done was forge documents and Dan Rather resigned in disgrace because of it. Telling a lie is one thing. Telling the truth about Obama is not a bad thing, is it? Don't you want to hear the whole story and then you decide?

Well, yes FOX tells the truth about Obama but it also doesn't tell the good things he has done(which is very little by the way). FOX tells the truth but sometimes not the whole truth. As for the other media, they just tell lies.

It seems to me that Fox reports parts of the story that other outlets leave out. In other words, lets say a story is broadcast by the networks about a shortage of funds because "it's not in the budget." Then they say Obama submitted a proposal to the "Republican controlled Congress" some time ago. They reported the truth. Everything they said is factually correct but the implication is that the Republicans are to blame for the shortfall in that budget item. Fox News reports the same story but then they go on to say that the Republicans passed that proposal and submitted it to the Democrat controled Senate where Harry Reid refuses to let it come up for a vote.

So because Fox News adds the rest of the story, liberals spin on their ears and call for censorship

The "balance" is that Fox does have liberal commentators on their panels. You don't agree but , whatever.
