Hmm.. Elect Powell or re-elect his boss.

I'll stick with President Obama, thanks. Powell's Domestic Policy would be fatal and I doubt he has the diplomatic skills required for an effective Foreign Policy either.

I always liked Colin Powell and I thought he perhaps would run for the presidency one day. But then he went before the U. N. and presented our "evidence" for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Bush knew there was nothing there. Powell must have known too and yet he went ahead and convinced the U.N. that we needed to take the weapons stores out. I don't think I can trust him any more. Anyone who was on Bush's war panel is suspect in my book. Too bad, he had a lot to offer.

If Powell had been more indignant about the disinformation regarding the Iraqi threat, I would have more respect for the man.

In a July 2009 CNN interview with John King, Powell expressed concern over President Obama growing the size of the federal government and the size of the federal budget deficit. In September 2010, he criticized the Obama administration for not focusing "like a razor blade" on the economy and job creation.
He tried to nudge Obama back in the right direction but Obama would not listen.

Obviously Colin Powell has not yet run for office and so there is a lot to learn about him...but I really wanted to vote for him in 2000 and still probably would. From what I have heard, however, it seems unlikely that Colin Powell would run against Obama and I suspect if asked by Obama, he would serve the President.

Since Powell is a Obama supporter, what is the point of your unsupported rant? You personally belong to that minority of losers that lost the last presidential race and will lose the next one.

No.. I wasting time getting a college degree, serving a hitch in the military, and running businesses before I went into executive sales. Your experience as a boxer and drag racer obviously make you an expert on politics and economics. The only person tossing around the epitaph "loser" is you and you seem to want to apply it to yourself.

Hey Mr Big Stuff i am a college graduate with honors. And if i told you what my major was you'd be barking at the moon.YOU called me loser!
Well I'm not a loser and my major was in POLITICAL SCIENCE and my minor was automotive engineering.Go wash your mouth out old man your breath stinks

I knew it wasn't English or you'd know that making a wrong choice in a political race doesn't qualify you as a personal loser. It just means that you chose wrong in the election. Dumb old me. I was just a math major with a minor in economics. When I was a sophomore, I visited Midwest Research Institute. I still remember the room full of people that my guide proudly proclaimed were engineers. That's the moment I decided to concentrate on math and economics. But I somehow learned that using caps and cute names in correspondence is the mark of a loser, not that you personally are a loser.

I've made my mistakes...i'm just sorry that the country is in so much
trouble and there's nothing i can do about it. For me voting for Obama doesn't help the problem ..only hinders it. He isn't the man everyone thought he was...he's a little dirty and underhanded. And his Socialistic view is not for me. i believe in Capatalism and i believe in the Republic of the United States of America. for which it stands....thats what got us here .....not Obama!

While I have some respect for Colin Powell, it's mostly for deciding to step down and to not continue pushing Bush's horrible agenda of lying to the UN and US Congress about WMD and pushing for an illegal, unfunded war.

Colin Powell didn't backdoor the GOP...it abandoned him like it has most traditional Republicans...by that I mean people whose families were Republicans for generations....most of today's Republican leaders had fathers who were Democrats and some of them even started their careers as Democrats. The current Republican leadership is all RINOs...unlike Colin Powel, an American Hero and a lifetime Republican who understands the difference between loyalty to America and loyalty to a political party....only communists believe loyalty to the party should supercede loyalty to your country.

and hope that the two can work together, I think that they'd be a dynamic duo. I also know from what I've heard Colin Powell say, (1) he nor his wife is interested in his running for president of the United States, and (2) he is very fond of Barack H. Obama, and thinks highly of him as a man and as president of the United States. I'd love to see Colon and the president strategizing together. Right now for as much as I appreciate and respect Colon Powell, The right now Republicans are scary, and should in no wise be attempting to run our country. The last Republican almost ran us in the ground.
