President Obama speaks to troops during an unannounced trip to Afghanistan where he signed a strategic partnership agreement with President Hamid Karzai that marks the beginning of the end of the war there.

Why wouldn't he visit with our troops? They are there fighting to help keep America safe. President Obama is their Commander-in-Chief. If I were there & my president came, I'd want him to visit our military personnel.

I think it is good to show support to the troops, I do have to say I felt it was a bad choice to do it as a campaign ploy. I do think it was a good thing to mention "He" gave the order to get bin Laden, I do not doubt Shrub knew Bin Laden was in Pakistan, but he felt it was stragically bad to go there to get him. Pakis are NOT our friends!

No BS to them or the American people, just straight talk. No mission accomplished, no we will be seen as liberators, no the war will pay for itself. We gave you a tough job and as always you came through. We will not leave too quickly like Charlie Wilson's war and let the Taliban bring terrorists into the fold. No nation building, no decades long comitments, just what is sensible enough to bring most of these heros home.

It was nice of him to visit the troops, but as you saw it wasn't the real reason why he went there. He had another goal inmind. How it will work out only time will tell.

He announced a 10 year plan with Mohammed Khazai.
What was the point? Neither of them will be there in 10 years.
In 10 years there will be a new president in USA even if Obollock wins, Khazai will be assassinated and the Taliban or Mujahudin will be back.
