It's so nice that Obama wants to help Africas Ag economy while at home he does his best to destroy family farms.

While passing regulation that make it harder for the small farmer to make a living with increased regulations.

We've been investing in this since he usurped the office. At ther same time he was suckering Americans into borrowing $787 Billion from China for the stimulus package, $250 million was going out the back door to Africa for their agricultural needs.

We've also been importing their oil and of all things NATURAL GAS. I guess the stuff we have right here would be too cheap and it's somehow better to ship it across the Atlantic ocean and just save ours for a rainy day.

We also sent them a healthy sum for their health-care needs while wasting1-1/2 years arguing over 0bozocare.

This ain't nuttin' new folks. Another $900 million has bee funneled to Hamas to relocate them in the U.S. with instant citizenship.

    November cannot come soon enough.

Hardly. He's helping them take care of themselves. Much more valuable than giving them food today.

With Republicans doing everything they can to get people out of the middle class and into poverty, it stands to reason that there would be more people on food stamps. Try feeding your family on a minimum wage? And the Republicans want to remove the minimum wage? What are they thinking?

They want to cut their expenses by lowering wages and removing safety and benefits for their employees. But as one billionaire is pointing out..., that is counter-productive, because they are their customers also. That same corporate billionaire is also admitting that lowering taxes for corporates and millionaires does not create jobs, it only gives them more money to find ways to get rid of employees. Businesses are always looking out for their bottom line, despite the stupidity of their actions.

I applaud the notion of ending hunger and starvation in Africa, but it seems that many of the nations where this is the norm are engaged in bloody, deadly civil wars where factions are fighting over who-knows-what, and rescue groups enter at their own risk. If farms weren't being burned or looted by roving armies, they might be able to feed themselves. Giving them new tractors and tools without ending the bloodshed changes nothing.

I agree! Africa is such a rich place. If only people would stop abusing it SO much. For the criminals to be put in jail would help out Africa a lot.

Where else would you get food?

But NDAA prevents people from being self sufficient farmers... only big companies like Monsanto can have farming control
