I watched this video, and I have to say that Newt is so right. It's sickening to see a POTUS always apologizing.Or bowing to kings it's a disgrace!!! When has a country apologized to us.Did anyone say I am sorry I blew up your towers, did anyone say I am sorry I killed all those people, hell no, why should they,it makes them look weak just like Barry is making America look weak.He is a dam idiot, and needs to be gone, and anyone who really thinks he is good for this country needs to be gone also.We all want peace but we live in a real world with real problems,we are not wearing those rose tinted glasses like the follower's of Obama. So get real before it's to late people,

If America commits a grave injustice to any group of people, then perhaps there should be an apology. But I have seen no such injustices of late. We certainly shouldn't apologize for being American.

An apology is a sign of strength not weakness. It doesn't take any guts to make a mistake and say nothing. That's a cowards way out. It takes a man to know when he's wrong and apoligize. It's called being humble. Just ask yourself one question, who do you like and respect more, a nice humble person who can kick your ass or a mean, nasty bully who could kick your ass?

You have a very good point. And by the way, FAWKES NOSE, those pictures you posted? Don't compare to the "from the waist, kiss your ass" bow Obama did to the King of Saudi....There is a big difference between a bow of respect and a bow of obeisance....

And it had nothing to do with "White guy" vs "Black guy"....people like you are just looking for a race war, aren't you? Get your sorry butt over here instead of hiding out at the Vatican, and do something about it....

Never apoligize. It's a sign of weakness and intelligence. God forbid an American should ever be considered weak or intelligent.

Which is it? A sign of weakness or intelligence? Your statement is a bit confusing, as if weakness and intelligence necessarily go hand in hand.

My mistake. I should have typed "conservatives consider it a sign of weakness and a lack of intelligence". I apoligize. We consider it a sign of intelligence and a strength.

I did. And America should apologize to Iraq for invading it under false pretenses. Correct? Maybe Bush and Cheney should make a joint apology. And they should apologize to the American people and to the parents, brothers, and sisters of the servicemen and women killed and wonder for an unnecessary war.

So we have 4,400+ men and women killed and over 10,000 wounded to remove 1 man and 2 of his sons. Yes that's smart, very smart. The Iraqi's could have done that themselves without losing 100,000 of their own people which is the estimated number of Iraqi deaths. One of those roadside bombs could have done the job. Oh have the Iraqi's paid us back for the $800 billion we spent on that war?

You don't think we owe the Iraqi's an apology for destroying their country and killing 100,000 people over there. I'd hate to see what would it take you to issue an apology.

Should we go back and apologize to Germany and Japan as well? Should we apologize to the Iraqis for deaths by insurgents and terrorism? Perhaps we should apologize to the hundreds of thousands Saddam killed because we didn't do it sooner. Maybe we should just issue a blanket apology to the world for every casualty of every war we have ever been a part of.

You don't understand. We weren't attacked by Iraq. We attacked them for no reason at all. That Germany and Japan comment was sad on your part. Saddam was a bastard, no doubt about that but he didn't attack us. We attacked them and in doing so over 100,000 men women and children died that never would have if we didn't attack them .Sometimes Foot... you have to man up and do what's right. It's actually alot harder to admit a mistake and apologize for it than it is to turn around and walk away and say nothing. That takes no balls at all.

It was the right thing to do for the Iraqi people who still hate us but not for the 4,400 dead soldiers and their families. Daughters and sons who'll never see one of their parents or brothers or sisters again. 4,400 brave dead American soldiers was well worth it to take out three people. No I don't know you just people like you.

You said to me, "Sometimes you have to man up and do what's right." Sometimes doing what's right is the hard part. If you don't think the behavior of this regime was evil, mostly committed upon it's own people, then you see the world through a very different set of glasses. As for people like me... I'm not sure what you mean by that. So I'll just take it as a compliment. ;-)

And I'll bet you haven't heard the latest? Saddam WAS in the process of acquiring more WMD, especially Nukes, and was actively investigating that on several fronts, one of which was Russia. Not only that, he had every intention of using them. However, that was then, and this is now. Open your mind to this possibility. Iraq has Nukes. Right now they are getting ready to deploy them, and will be ready to "Fire" within 6 months, quite possibly less. Should Israel do a preemptive strike and try to take those out, or should the world sit back and wait to get hit first? A Liberal such as yourself would say, "They haven't done anything yet, why strike? Let's not aggravate them!" A Conservative would say,"Why wait and let them kill possibly millions, take them out before hand." THAT was the situation with Saddam.

And you know all this how? Either you're God like and see and know everything of your a typical fearmonger afraid of everything and easily persuaded by other fearmongers. Usually it's the uneducated that fears what they don't know. Don't worry. If Iran tries anything they'll be a country that use to exist but doesn't any more.

I see. Its OK for the White guy but not OK for the Black guy.

In 1988, Congress passed and President Ronald Reagan signed legislation which apologized for the internment on behalf of the U.S. government. The legislation stated that government actions were based on "race prejudice, war hysteria, and a failure of political leadership." Over $1.6 billion in reparations were later disbursed by the U.S. government to Japanese Americans who had either suffered internment or were heirs of those who had suffered internment.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...

    The Reagan Apology is now PUBLIC LAW 100-383, Title I, August 10, 1988, 102 Stat. 904, 50a U.S.C. § 1989b et seq.

That was an apology to U.S. citizens over an injustice committed upon them by their own government. And why are you making it about race anyway? I'm not going to presume your political persuasion, but I'm tired of it being called racist to disagree with the President.

It's amazing how when we talk about Obama on SH people like you always land up talking about Bush. We are not talking about Bush that's another subject.. You used an example with Obama and the Queen of England who is nothing more than a figurehead and I used Bush as an example with Merkel who is the Chancellor of Germany an actual head of state. Now back rub may have been the wrong term to use but a shoulder squeeze is much more accurate and childlike.
