The White House has released the transcript of President Obama’s
recent speech in Roanoke, Virginia, and it holds a number of noteworthy
statements.
“Channeling Elizabeth Warren,” in the words of Jazz Shaw at Hot Air, Barack Obama said that successful Americans “didn’t get there” on their own.
The official transcript relates:
There are a lot of wealthy, successful Americans who
agree with me — because they want to give something back. They know
they didn’t — look, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own.
I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was
just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be
because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something —
there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there. [Emphasis added]

He is only saying that businesses are collective efforts between the interests of capital who fund them, the executives who manage them, the labour force and the consumer who patronises the business. This is true.
Furthermore, he is saying that business practices should reflect this- good working conditions, fair wages, a clean, safe workplace, reasonable prices and consumer protection.
It is interesting to note that the word 'corporate' comes from 'corpus', the Latin word for body because of how they work like bodies, with separate parts all doing a job for the good of the whole, like organs and limbs.
I dont see how anybody can disagree with that.
He's nuts. He hates capitalists and capitalism.
But he SURE likes money and power!
He thinks you need to be part of his nanny state apparatus.
Here is a man that never created a business; never had a job in the Private sector; telling you he knows better.
That the long hours; the investment;the hard work you've done..IT NEVER HAPPENED BECAUSE OF YOU!
If that is not a slap in the face of reality; I don't know what else I can say...
