Now, that isn't to say that the President ISN'T smoking something. We've all seen those photos.

I positively LOATHE having to agree with the Fuzzy Muzzie about anything, but in this case he is, indeed, right--to a point. He's quoted below as having said:

"look, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own. "

This statement is true. We all stand on the shoulders of people who helped us get where we are. The 'self made man' is a myth. Whether it be our parents, our teachers, or our Creator, we are all BEHOLDEN to someone for some aspect of our successes. This is the Great Paradox which drives Randian 'Objectivists' crazy. It's also why Rand herself could not allow any consideration of God in her philosophy. Her philosophy hinged on the precept that individuals can achieve success solely on the basis of their own effort/intelligence. They simply cannot. Not until they can make a universe all by themselves. Ultimately, whether it be only to Nature or to nature's God, we are ALL welfare recipients to some degree. I know this will piss off a lot of folks, but facts is what they is. :-)

Now, that said, this fact in NO WAY provides justification for forced 'payback' to those entities or individuals who helped us get where we are.

His father or college professors perhaps. One thing's for sure, though: he'd NEVER have credited the millions of white people who, through their guilt over past transgressions, propelled his ass into office.

Above all I think that's what drives me the most crazy about all this talk of 'racism.' Obama would NEVER have been elected had it not been for white people--and for white guilt in particular! It would have been statistically impossible for him to inherit La Casa Blanca on the 'ethnic' vote alone.

That business then, obama in charge, closes its US plants producing x-ray devices, laying of some 26,000 people and opens plant in China to produce those devices. Prior to that GE (Government Electric) receives billions of dollars to produce windmill generators and builds brand new plant for that purpose in China. If that does not obama an outsourcer in chief than what does?

I just read the whole speech. A gallon of mouthwash won't get the sour taste out of my mouth. The worst part was his insistence that everything he does is to build up the middle class while in reality he has more to destroy it than any President. It is just more calculated lying propaganda for clueless constituents.

I'm a native of Roanoke. I looked at the speech and I couldn't get past him talking about the the previous Demonuts that ran Virginia...Warner did nothing for Virginia. Our Governor now, Bob McDonald has balanced our budget and we now have a surplus. Tim Kaine, he didn't do jack crap either. While governor, he was more concerned with working for the DNC and getting Obama elected in 2008. Check out the Rebublican govorner's in many states who have balanced thier states budgets. Jeez! That ought to tell Americans something!


there are a couple of people I want to acknowledge. First of all, you've got one of the finest senators and public servants in the country in Mark Warner. Give it up for Mark Warner. (Applause.) Now, Mark was a great governor for the Commonwealth of Virginia, and now he's a great senator. I just want to point out we've got another great governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia who is going to be a great senator in Tim Kaine.

Hire BAD employees, and they can ruin your business. Hire good ones, and they grow your business.

It's possible. You had to get the capital from somewhere, and it's doubtful you saved your money for it. Someone else had enough faith in you to let you try to see if you could make a business work, even though half of new startups fail.
