President Barack Obama is sorry for Special Olympics joke

- Trying to describe his very inexperienced bowling skills to Jay Leno on Thursday, President Barack Obama joked, “It was like the Special Olympics or something.”

Everyone laughed at the self-disparaging remark.

Except the POTUS' staff.

It is also a joke when Obama claimed he was for change. Guess what he was right. Change in what your allowed to make, change in having to find a new job (if you can). Change in taking responsibility. Obama, Nancy, and Reid can't even take responsibility for their own actions. Giving bailout to companies that should go under, if you had a business that failed you would go under, no government is going to bail you out. AT TAX PAYERS EXPENSE. Obama did not inherit the failing economy he added to the fall of it. putting our country further in debt. It is the Demo. party that wrote up and passed the debt package, yes the debt package. Where's the stimulas from it there is none. The Obama addministration gave AIG money with the provision stated that the excecutives would recieve bonuses. Yet some how He takes no responsibility for it, along with Nancy and Reid. WAKE UP PEOPLE

Look the man is a MAN, not Superman. He'll open his mouth and something rather thoughtless will slip out occasionally. Let him be human, let's not start with requiring him to be faultless all the time too. He apologized, and in this case, that should be it!

There are very few people who like this president's policies less than I do, but c'mon, let's let the guy be human once in a while. That gaff was just one of those things that we all do occasionally without thinking. We can argue about how clueless the man may be as to how to run a country, but I truly believe that he has a good heart when it comes to those with special needs. Nobody is all bad, and I really don't think that President Obama meant anything malicious, and his promptness in calling the head of the Special Olympics, Tim Shriver, tells me that he did regret that little quip. Just imagine being under such a microscope 24/7 like a president is. I say let's take the high road, and just drop it.

Unless he apologizes for being the bigot that he is, I really don't care to hear his apology.

I'm also surprised that no one has mentioned that everyone laughed. At the time, lots of people thought this was funny. I mean, TV makes remarks like this all the time, sometimes far worse.

If Obama was a kind person, that thought would never have entered his brain. It's clear he's a bully and would see no problem with taunting special ed kids, given the chance. He's sick.

This is what happens when a sitting President would rather be a 'celebrity' rather than a commander in chief. Obama's not up for the job, and probably would have been more suited for "The Gong Show" rather than The Tonight Show...What a pathetic road he is taking us down...Grrrr!

I can overlook President Obama's remark about the Special Olympics. I truly think he was being self-effacing when he was referring to his bowling score. He is under soo much scrutiny that if he breathes wrong the media, public jump all over him. I don't believe, as my cousin used to say, he meant any harm. Certain people are just looking to scourge the first president of color because, well he is the first President of color. Bigotry is alive and well in 2009!

Oh, all those who disagree with The President's economic plans and proposals, please share your stellar ideas that will help us out of this mess. We are waiting.....

Oh my gosh...please don't tell me that since I think his comment was insensitive, to say the least, that I'm a racist. Far from it. Ok I guess because he's a person of color he can say whatever he wants. Happy now?

Could you grow up enough to get past the man's race? Please! I said, and feel that he just made a silly, spur of the moment comment that we all make sometimes, but for pete's sake, QUIT ACCUSING ALL WHO DISLIKE HIM OF RACISM. I've met too many African-Americans who didn't vote for him and don't like him or his policies to first accuse someone of racism. In the first place, you can't see anyone's race on this web-site, and do yourself a favor, and don't assume MINE. You would probably be wrong. Most that got all up in arms, have a relative that's handicapped and are sensitive because of that. The others are probably extremely partisan, and that is protected by the constitution.

Impeachment is the first of two stages in a specific process for a legislative body to consider whether or not to forcibly remove a government official from office
