    I don't even see the purpose behind retaining a monarchy in the twenty first century. If you want to call be a republican, fine because I actually find republicanism a much better form of government then monarchy. However, the British monarchy doesn't have much power so it really doesn't matter either way(the UK actually does a lot of things better than the US too). Plus a people have a right to self-determination and royal rule if they so choose. However, I'm not going to pretend that royal families are nothing more than socialized celebrities.
