President Barack Obama calls on Congress to pass the bipartisan, paid-for ideas that he proposed last year to put construction workers back to work upgrading our roads and bridges, teachers back in the classroom educating our kids and police and firefighters back on the job keeping our communities safe, and addresses the state of the economy, including the situation in Europe, which continues to pose headwinds to our recovery here at home. June 8, 2012.

We have to listen to everyone complaining about jobs and the economy. Blame is put on Obama. His only recourse, put pressure on the Republican controlled Congress to show if they are as serious about creating jobs, as the bill he presents to them. So far, their concerns have been anything but. Yet, they'll be first to complain about jobs and will be the first to have excuses and more excuses, to why they won't pass the jobs bill. Could we expect more?

If he was serious he would suggest that all state do what 2 cities in California, and wisconsin did, riegn in the union/govenment complex. but he kisses union a$$.

Obama has thrown billions of dollars into so-called green jobs and the fact is it was just money wasted. If green industry is to work it will have to find a way to be competive on the world market. Then there will be privite investment.

The situation we're in now is the result of a Do Nothing Congress that has blocked every initiative from Obama to create jobs and get the economy moving again. If the GOP would grow up and act like the responsible adults we thought they were when we sent to Congress, we can move this country ahead. It's not Obama's fault. l blame the GOP for voting down or tabling everything sent to them since day one.

Wisconsin did what is needed done. Obie says he wants to dump more money into a failed system. His words, "When something doesn't work it is stupid to dump more money into it. " Now he wants to do what he says is stupid.

Obama had a democrat congress for 2 years. that is a mighty weak excuse.

The increase in government spending under Obama has been the lowest increase in at least the last 5 or 6 presidents.

If Obama made any mistake it was in spending the first two years working on healthcare. It was a program that people wanted and that Obama had promised to work on so I understand why he put that first. I don't think anyone could have predicted the outcome of the next election where he lost the House. As a result, he's been up against GOP stonewalling ever since.

I don't blame Obama for this. I blame the infantile, regressive, and deliberate actions by the GOP to fail to pass anything Obama has brought to them for consideration. The GOP is working for itself, not us.

numbers don't lie, but one can lie with numbers. but nice attempt at Mondays spin, but it has already been disproven.

anyone with a brain knew he would loose the house. most also thought dems would loose the senate, unless, of course one has that pesky Obama thrill in thier legs. Americans wanted healthcare reformed, that is not what dems passed based on passing it to find out what is in it. do you buy cars that way? to find out if you like it, and how much it costs? If so I have a deal for you my friend. Obama is and was and trained certified community agitator, he is lost. But he is self destruction at a feverish pace.

Ther you go, confriming why I would not rehire Obama, i rehire those that bring results. those that return with excuses and blame I wish them well in thier next adventure. I wish Obama well.
