Well, thinking at it from one side, Prostitution can be looked at as a legitimate paying career/business if done properly and safely and professionally.. That helps stimulate the economy. The liberal nature of homosexuality and accepting different people as they are isn't typical of the Conservative Republican.

Not that I agree with that mentality.

On that note, I personally believe Prostitution should be legal.

I believe the government should stay out of adult consenting ralationships. Yes, that means I support legalization of gay marriage, inter-racial marriage (yes I know this is currently legal in the US), prostitution, multiple marriage, contract marriage (a marriage with a built in termination date), and whatever else happens between legally consenting adults.

No that doesn't mean child molestation (kids aren't consenting adults) or bestiality (animals aren't consenting adults) are ok.

Either allot of Republicans actively use hookers, or they have a really strange moral compass.

Both should be legal along with marijuana. Ron Paul was right about victimless crimes.

Yes, Republicans do believe gay marriage is worse than prostitution.

Which really doesn't make sense. I think that's backwards.

My theory is that it's because a high percent of Republicans think that women are solely for cooking, cleaning, and f***ing.

Though there is money in marriages in Nevada - marriages and divorces being part of the economy - there is more money made through the brothel business.

Why the surprise? Conservatives help the economy and this helps the economy. You're thinking morally and both are morally wrong, but Conservatives think about economy.

Gay Marriage also helps the economy. There is lots of money in weddings, and divorces.

Hate to break this to you but people all over the country have be weddings at their Civil Unions and those also end in Divorce which I don't reccognize either.

Hypocrites. It just makes me feel so disgusted by them. I'm not against prostitution-that's between the client and them. But saying yes to that, but no to marriage, which is love than lust, is just wrong!

maybe but i think its more along the line of if you legalize prostitution. you can tax it. plus you have the fees for the different licences they will need. plus when you add the prostitute themselves, the medical staff, the security that some places will hire. the people who work in the brothels, this is job creation. all this would help the economy. where as if you legalize gay marriage. all you get is married gays.

Marriage also helps the economy. There is tons of money in weddings. Caterers, photographers, dress shops, hair and make-up, bakeries, honeymoons, hotels, limos, dj's, liquor, venues, divorce.

Yes, but weddings cost way more than prostitution, the average cost of a wedding in 2011 was $26,000.

over the course of her life time a prostitute would make far more then that. for some out there that is 26 days at one john a day.

I'm not denying that prostitutes make money or that there is money for the economy in legalizing it. But you, sir, fail to acknowledge that weddings are ALSO good for the economy.
