i would say that marxists are for the most part atheists who replaced their religion and belief in god with a form of secular religion of marxism with Marks as god.
Their secularism is just as intolerant of any dissent as islam which is the most intolerant religion. They are virulently anti-Christian because it stands in their way to world wide communism and successfully thwarted marxist attempts to spread it into western Europe and Christians were instrumental in causing the collapse of communism in Europe.

Because they are mad at God. I think that most atheist believe in God but are mad at God because of something happened in their lives that was bad and they blame God for it or reject him because God let it happen. I think the so called Atheist on SD are these kind of people. True atheists probably don't care and don't say much on religion on Sodahead.

If many Marxists and other totalitarian idiots are atheists, it doesn't mean all atheists are totalitarian idiots.

I just finished creating a question where it talks about polls that provide not enough options for speaking your mind. Other than agreeing with you over a question where you provide -absolutely zero proof- you offer two poll choices other than outright agreement with you. Which is "Who Cares,. which is still a choice to agree,. and all of the above which is also you agreeing with yourself. But you are not the extremist,. it's all of,. they,. them,. not you. I would suggest that you read,. Holy Terror: The Fundamentalist War on America's Freedoms in Religion, Politics, and Our Private Lives. There is a part that tells about a Jew who in this modern age is tortured for hours in a hotel room by Fundamentalist Christians before he "Converts. They do this because in their opinion it is the end of days and that is when the Christian bible says that the Jews will convert and they felt that they had no choice. If you have something that is a similar crime from Atheists and Agnostics I would like to hear about it. Any decent person with a conscious must report such things to the world.

Generally I do not create skewed polls either but considering the polls by atheist against Christians out number the ones by Christians against atheist 10 to 1, sometimes a spoonful of their own medicine is the only way that they will see how bitter and toxic a poison they are selling.

I must admit here on Sodahead there are a few that are too much to handle. And I have a couple that I have blocked
(which is an evil word to some). And certainly Sodahead itself does seem to encourage people to come out of their shells,. maybe too much in a few cases. But just being an Atheist doesn't mean that I agree with some of them. And I have Christian friends that I get along withand we often see eye to eye. Just not always when it comes to religion. But there is respect.

Me too I have friends that are of all faiths and non faiths. Makes for some interesting coffee shop discussions. Most of them do respect others beliefs there are a couple that do not and are generally left out of the discussions. It get's really interesting when the atheist lawyer starts defending Christianity to the atheist zealot, and the Christian college english teacher defends atheism to the bible school student zealot. [ I got to remember to start bringing my camera for one of those ;} ]

Hmmmm,. well there was a time after World War II when Neo Nazi's were arrested for marching in New York. A Jewish lawyer stepped in and said that he absolutely didn't agree with them in any sense but that he felt it was necessary to defend them. I wonder if he lost a few friends and family ties.
