I'm ready for the coming battle. I hate the Republican lie that any opposition to Vulture Capitalism and the extractionist model as opposed to the entrepreneurial model amounts to class warfare. That's like Hitler's SS claiming that all who resisted being dragged off to Hitler's concentration camps and gas chambers were committing class warfare against a completely innocent Fascist Nazi Party.

Progressives in America are NOT anti business. They are NOT socialists or Marxists. They are the staunchest of supporters of the entrepreneurial spirit. There is, among them, NO jealousy of wealth when it is earned by lifting society up. Romney lies. There is, however great distrust of corporate Raiders like Romney who make their staggering profits by feasting on the carcasses of businesses they kill.

Since the Reagan Revolution, the rules of the game have been dramatically changed. You can now make a return on investment of 5% or maybe even 10% if you create a new business based a great new idea or if you develop a new technology people are in love with. In contrast, go the Republican Vulture Capitalists routr, and you can swoop in on healthy businesses that are cash rich. The vultures use the money in that corporation’s own reserves and their employee pension fund as collateral to get a loan to buy the company. They use next to none of their own money, so their risk is minimal to nonexistent.

They buy the company with the company’s own money as collateral for the loan, slash the workforce and sell off al the valuable assets, and make the company suddenly look on paper like a wildly profitable operation. They then sell their stock in the company at a profit of 20%, 50% or even 80% of their investment.

They leave the company with its pension fund looted, its cash reserves gone, and a mountain of debt. Occasionally the management left behind finds a way to keep the company afloat and return it to profitability. But all too often, no such miracle recovery is possible. The company files for bankruptcy and ceases to exist.

The Greedy Oligarch Party wants to keep this model working. They are in attack mode on Gingrich, Perry and a few others of their own now because these spurned operatives are spiling the rotten beans on what this Party has been about over the last 32 years.

If we stay the course Reagan put us on, we will soon be a third-world nation with the makeup of a central American banana republic. It certainly seems that’s what the big Republican strategy is aimed at.

We need to decide what sort of Capitalist society we want to be. Are we going to be innovators like Alexander Graham Bell, Henry Ford, Bill Gates, and Steve Jobs? Their ideas and those of others like them built the world’s greatest economy and the world’s first stong middle class..

In contrast, the vulture capitalist profit from ripping the flesh off the carcasses of viable corporations that have a cash reserve worth looting. Unlike venture capitalist, the vulture capitalist create nothing of value for society, just massive profits for themselves and the millionaire investors that have enough money to play in their league. Average people can earn a fraction of 1% on investments. Millionaires can earn nearly 100% per year on investments in vulture capitalism.

If the Creedy Oligarch Party and its minions are allowed to keep operating, they will convert America into a banana republic where only they and their cronies share in all the wealth of the land. And the 99% are left like peasants under Feudalism.

We need to decide which modle we prefer.
