One thing is certain. Obama must go. Get behind the candidate that gets the nomination, otherwise you secure a win for Obama and 4 more years of this crap!

For years I was an Independent and never could vote for anyone on the democrat ticket, so I got off my butt and changed to republican where you always have a chose of Socialist/liberal, Libertarian or Conservative/constitutional on their ticket.

I may completely dislike the person that gets the Republican nod for the upcoming election and will vote for him no matter - cannot take another four years of Obama. If we can gain control of both houses and the WH, like the dems did, maybe we can actually effect some change.

I do not want Obama to be re-elected. He is a lousy president. I am a Ron Paul supporter, but I could vote for Romney. I will not vote for anyone who has Sarah Palin on the ticket.

In Canada, I affiliated with Preston Manning's (Ernest Charles' son) Reform Party, later morphed to (Rev) Stockwell Day's Alliance, now in power under Harper. Had Republicans been in general like (EC) Manning's Socreds, I might have affiliated with them--unfortunately, they mostly look more like Progressive-Conservatives under Myron Baloney and Joe "Who" (totally useless).

    I didn't vote for vidkun 0bama the first time--and certainly won't ever!

I always like how “3rd Party” voters throw the election for either the two ruling parties. Really I wish 3rd parties had that much of a voice. We would not be in the mess we are in today…subjects in a monarchy.

The Republicans have been horrible in my opinion.
They are good at messaging...and if the message was true and honest I would respect them more.
If they could lead as well as they direct their media campaign they would then be strong candidates.

I believe in what Republicans are supposed to stand for. The ideology. Some of the one's actually in office though are repugnant. I respect anyone who really stands up for what they believe in, even if it's not as I believe. So few politicians actually practice what they preach. Guess the money and power does them in.

I will vote for Obama but I am not one of the 1%. I voted for him last time and though he hasn't been perfect and I will vote for him again. He has taken an intolerable situation and at least made it better. If he has 4 more years, I think he will be able to get a lot more done. I would like it if he came out in support of gay marriage and got us out of Afghanistan and keep us out foreign wars (Iran specifically). And we need a Universal Health Plan, not this watered down thing that nobody likes. But I would do anything to keep the Republicans out of office. This is the saddest, most bigoted, out of touch, shadiest, and just plain ridiculous bunch I have ever seen. They are all so far to the right that they don't even resemble the Republican party that used to be.

Thank you. As a matter of fact, that is why I chose it. My first visit to SH just happened to be answering a question that had a comment thread that was full of right wing conservatives. As you might imagine I felt my blood pressure rising. However, I have found kindred spirits, and my name really no longer fits,so I am thinking of changing it. I am sure you could find a few you would like to call me.

Don't surprise me. Most people are stupid, so what else is new?

The dems have the reputation of being the party that gave us relief from American petty apartheid. Please don't remind me that the Repubs were the party of emancipation. I know, I know. (My God bless the soul of Thaddeus Stevens) I can still remember asking my Mississippi born and bred granddad (may he rest in peace) when I was just a lad, "Why do we vote Dem?" He told me it was the party for us, they were for the poor people. Perhaps at one point they were.

Personally, today I think its all &^%$#@. Both parties are bought by the highest bidder.

btw - I was being silly with the "Wazzzup"
