☆ QueenAline 2013/01/27 00:22:19
In Gilberton Pennsylvania, The Police Chief Mark Kessler said he has
drawn the line in the sand, and will stand with Freedom Over Tyranny as
he and the city passed a resolution unanimously that says that will not
comply or enforce any new laws infringing on the 2nd amendment.

As am officer of the law he must understand there are consequences for not obeying the law. Therefore, he should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

And just in case anyone does not know, The well regulated Militia is actually the National Guard, it is NOT the citizens as individuals

"The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed". The militia (police force) is there to provide oversight and direction but ultimately the people have the right to bear arms in accordance with such direction (so if you haven't broken any laws you have the right to own a gun). Furthermore, states run militias and police forces, not the National Guard. The National Guard (as the name implies) is made up of composite states and constitutes a federal militia.

wrong again the national guard is not the militia the national is a part of the army and can be called into duty by the fed were the the state guard is under the control of each state not the fed. and a regulated militia and the people are one in the same just what part of infringed do you not understand

It's not his job to decide what he will and will not enforce. It's his job to do as he's told. People at a much higher level make those decisions.

Really? Last I checked, no police officer has the duty to enforce any unconstitutional laws. In fact, they are sworn to uphold the constitution. Furthermore, those who willingly take actions to weaken this country are defined as traitors. Dogman... appropriate name.

If this is the case you put foreword then we need to impeach that one as he has told the justice department not to enforce the marriage fed law, and immigration laws. and theses are fed. laws put on the books by congress there fore he is out of line.

Local governments cannot be forced by the feds to enforce federal laws. Local governments can drag their feet until the cows come home. The only real enforcement we'll ever see are over the top violations where the feds come in and clean it up themselves.

WOW, that good old boy in Gilberton sure has the nation in an uproar, doesn't he? Why, he will likely be awarded some sort of memorial, perhaps right there in beside the one made for Walter Chankhower in the square of Chestertown. Think of that, a lasting and fitting memorial among the shrines of America's great patriots. I'm overcome with joy.

I admire his conviction and will admire his integrity if he does indeed step down from his position as chief of law enforcement should he refuse, in good conscience, to enforce a law he decides violates the Second Amendment.
