"The per person Medicare Insurance Premium will increase from the present
Monthly Fee of $96.40, rising to:

$104.20 in 2012

$120.20 in 2013

And

$247.00 in 2014."

in other words for a couple of seniors ..you will be paying only $6.00 less than FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR MEDICARE UNDER OBAMA... $494.00..
not sure about you but I sure can't afford that.

Increases in cost is just one of the problems for seniors under Obamacare. Due to the drastic cuts in reimbursement for treatment of Medicare patients there will be fewer doctors willing to accept those patients (it is optional to accept Medicare). That means less choice and longer waits to see doctors that do take Medicare.

in our community, we are losing two doctors both because of obamacare and the remaining two have already said they won't be taking medicare or medicaid patients.. that means travelling 200 miles to find another doctor.. nice for seniors to have to do!!!

Obama will win reelection and will continue to drive us into the abyss. There are no longer enough people in this country willing to make the tough decisions necessary for our survival. We have become a nation willing to government cradle to grave control. But with this decision, we will see the continued erosion of personal freedoms and the end of life as we know it. And the Obama acolytes will finally wake up to a change they really didn't want.

I have to pay for my own insurance and it's only about 100 bucks higher than that. I'm nowhere near medicare age and have two dependents but those are sobering numbers. I cannot imagine how high that premium will be when I'm at that age.

This 'memo' first appeared in late 2008/early 2009 to help fight Obamacare. The Part B rate shown of $96.40 was the 2009 rate, not the 2012 rate.

I am waiting to see what our 2013 Part B rate will be (Part A is 'free' for most Seniors). The rates for the next year are usually set in the fall. I first went on Medicare in 2009. Here are the standard rates for Part B for the time I've been receiving Medicare (if you receive Social Security, it is deducted from your payment) (remember the rates were set in the fall of the preceding year):
2009 - $96.40
2010 - $110.50
2011 - $115.40
2012 - $99.90

It didn't surprise me that the rate dropped $15.50 a month for 2012 --- an election year. The 2011 rate of $115.40 was NOT set until AFTER the 2010 election, so I suspect the same will happen this year. This is so as to make sure the Seniors vote for Obama.

Seeing that our local library has been so kind as to have downloaded the entire act from the GPO so that people can read it and check out references, could you please tell me the page number and line number to which you are referring. I looked through it briefly for about an hour this morning and can seem to locate what you are referring to.
