It would be nice if more people who think abortion is fine would watch an ultrasound of an unborn baby.Maybe they would see life as the baby moves around.
Its funny how I hear so many men saying a woman has a choice to have sex, use a condom, or what ever" but I would be willing to bet that a good majority of women who get abortions have a" man "that popped out of the picture as soon as he hears he was a " daddy". And until you are a scared 14 year old with a baby on the way and no daddy in the picture some people should shut there mouths on the terms like murderer and baby killer. And as far as statistics on women who get pregnant after a rape, that's a joke, most rapes are never reported. Like I said before I would never have an abortion, but I would also hate to be a woman that was ever put in that position. Not every woman uses it as a form of birth control . And like I said before there are some situations where an abortion is necessary. Unfortunately. For health related reasons, or because of incest or rape. Its funny how someone could say I would rather the "immoral" woman die than an innocent baby. What about a mother of three that has a life threatening situation that she did not know about till after she got pregnant? Should she die and leave her children behind because it was" illegal" to terminate the pregnancy. Or should an 11year old have her fathers child cause it was illegal? Maybe I am just playing devils a...

Maybe I am just playing devils advocate here, but every case should be looked at individually, and not just made all together illegal. Once again I have never or would I ever abort my child but if something happens where I had to have one it should be legal and safe. I don't care what you think of me...
I am not 4 abortion. Thankfully I never had 2 make that choice, and don't think I would. But hey, u can never say never. I do know some who have. It was not an easy or a joyful decision. They agonized over it. I don't however want ANYBODY telling me what I can or can't do with my own body.
Maybe a baby would feel or think the same way. What gives you the right to end a baby's life just because you don't want the child. There's plenty of people who would adopt. Adopt is much better than Abort.
I believe that working for Planned Parenthood would be a very difficult job to do, no matter what your job was. You would always be a part of destroying living human beings. What different is that from the holocaust? People died in both situations.
Are you seriously comparing abortion to the holocaust? What a horrible analogy.
People lived in intense fear during the holocaust, and *millions* of *sentient* people were killed. There was physical, mental and emotional suffering at the hands of Nazis in concentration camps. Others remained in hiding, thinking of nothing but how much longer they'd be there before they were found and killed. These people were tortured beyond belief, and you have the audacity to compare the holocaust to abortion? "People died in both situations?" Duh, they did. But you can't compare the agony of the holocaust to abortion. You CAN'T.
You disgust me. Try to educate yourself before spewing such ignorant nonsense.
No, abortion being illegal is ignorant and insensitive to most people- you know the ones who are stuck in overflowing orphanages or on the street, starving. We can only sustain so many people and resources. It's put fetus' "rights" above born people that are already here.
Abortion doesn't affect you personally, so I don't know what you mean by "including myself."
"Including myself" I simply meant that it is my opinion that abortion is ignorant and insensitive.
I realize many are in orphanages, homeless-my families have raised many children-dozens-who had no parents or was in a children's home.
Many more kids would find homes, too, if the government would butt out in some areas. Both sets of my grandparents were going to adopt each a brother from the same family. Both sets of my grand parents lived within 5 miles of each other, which would've enabled the brothers to have had a quality relationship growing up. The state then came and took both the little boys away. I don't think this is right and sorry to get off track.
Where the government should help is educating parents/young folks in the many choices of birth control. If there would be free birth control learning clinics-say where folks could go and get educated-(like people do with First Aid, CPR, etc-probably not a good comparison.) The birth control could then be dispensed to those who could not afford it.
I'm not meaning for this to be part of the school cirriculum-just something out in the community for parents and/or kids who need to know.
Maybe this isn't such a great idea, but it could be a positive step in the right direction.
Birth control isn't 100% effective, though. There's always that small chance it may not work. And it's not like teen girls are going to ask their parents to let them get it when condoms are more secretive.
Once again, the world cannot sustain so many people and resources. You need to be realistic. Once again, most people prefer biological children, so there will always be an excess of orphans.
I understand what you are saying. My point was that it would be a step in the right direction. We are always going to have a situation, like you said, of orphans and unwanted children, which is very sad.
It's too bad that kids can't go to their parents for information and help. I had that talk with my son when he was growing up. He turned out fine. Some kids and parents relate and some just can't.
In addition to what GamerLioness said, you should be aware of Godwin’s Law. That’s a law that applies to all Internet debates. It says in any intense debate on any subject, sooner or later one side will compare or accuse the other side of being like Hitler, the Nazis, or the Holocaust.
Whichever side makes such a comparison or accusation automatically loses the debate!
So sorry, but you just lost the whole abortion debate for the Pro-Life side.
I lost nothing, friend. I simply stated my opinion in this opinion poll. You can go by your Godwin's Law that applies to your internet debates. I am a pro life person, who knows the holocaust happened. As I stated, both abortion and the holocaust created murders. There is no easy, liberal way to state this about abortion. Abortion is legalized murder.
It is nothing I have against any of you here with your own opinions. This is my opinion, so have a nice week end. Enjoy the sunshine!
Abortion is murder if and only if the unborn are fully Persons. Not just living human beings (which I fully agree that they are). Persons. Only Persons have Rights, including the Right to Life.
