People at school hate me because I'm a weird Pagan girl.Do you think it's wrong for them to think i'm weird or a freak because of my religion and/or beliefs?

I am sorry to spew all over your posts, there is this band of brothers- partly educated crew that try to save Pagans all the time. I think they all go to the same website, "how to witness to a pagan or something": they throw in Summerland, law of three and they go throught this list of arguments against what they think our "creed" is. Chaps my hide. I recognize them and start blathering on. sorry again. Blessed be.

I think it's wrong because everyone has the right to choose their own religion and thre should be no consequencees to it and the persecuters need to put themselves in their victims shoes and see how it feels to be made fun of because they believed in only one god.

I think you are free to believe whatever you want to, but you should also be prepared to accept any persecution or negative words and actions that may come your way. So if you want to be a pagan, buck up, grow up, and shut up and accept responsibility for your decisions.

I don't have to be in his moccasins, and since when did emotions dictate right and wrong, law and order or anything else?
The fact is that he is ignorant and far below his potential for his age and needs to know as much. You however would rather pamper him and encourage him in the direction he is going, which will cripple him for life.

Mindsets such as you express don't show true concern and love for others. True love and concern prods, encourages, helps others to become better than they are, to apply themselves and be all they can be.

You can keep your emotions and fluff, the guy needs to see his condition and learn to help himself.

of course its wrong for people to judge others on their religion, but I think that you should give your class mates another chance. Some of your peers may just be confused or intimidated by the way you are coming across with your beliefs or they may feel that you are judging them (in other words you guys just might be misunderstanding each other) I think that you should be open with your class mates, make them comfortable so that you can share and discuss your beliefs with them and they talk about their beliefs with you in return. This will give them a chance to see your personality and they'll see what they have been missing out on! Of course some people are going to judge you on your religion no matter what - but who wants to be friends with those people anyway?

No one should be judged by their religon, but trust me, it gets easier.

It is wrong if that is the only reason. If you wear your head band through a nose ring attached to your belt or anything else that seems weird the religion only adds fuel to the fire.

everyone is intiteld to their own belifs. if they hate you because your religun is difrent then they should get their a$$es kicked, and retake solcel studies cause last i checked this is free contrie with freedom of religon. i have a frind who's wiccen and people who are aginst it come to her house alote to try and convert her. all she dose is open the door and say" im wiccen. now GET OF MY PROPERTY." and slams the door. it works the same people dont come more than twice.
also my moms cathlic but she calls pagenium the religun of the wies.

I usually invite them in for equal time...I pray to my Goddess and I'll listen to you pray to your God...doesn't that seem fair...I wonder why they go running down the sidewalk.

Lucky for you this America and you can practice whatever you want. There will always be haters out there, though. We like to call them bigots (AKA republicans). I suggest you go to college in the northeast and stay up there.

i did a study on paganism a few years ago and it was not near as bad as ppl put it to be. and its in the first amendment that we have freedom of religion. just tell them to get overthemselves. its your choice, not theirs.

Because people have the right and freedom to belong to any religion, of their choice.
Plus only you know for sure, if you're really a pagan. They can't possibly know unless either you told them, or you've done somethings which make it obvious to other people. But regardless, just continue to be you and what you are.

I'm sure they do. Such a low profile, I never thought they existed any more. But the main thing I wanted to say is, just continue to be you.

I would never question anyones religion.

be who you are... I wouldn't let school kids bother you, it might be tough right now, but later down the line, you will find those who are judging you, end up living dull lives... locked behind doors, and basically sheeple, following what they believe is what life is about... I was odd in school, and now at the age of 48, I've lived a life my friends could only dream of... I don't look my age, and I've lived in many places, I never had kids, never wanted that "life" that every american wanted... husband, kids, house, car, boat, corporate job... no thanks...

I am an artist, drawing and photographing and documenting what I see... I'm successful, and I currently live in the only city in america that can boast bohemia...

My friends who all married, most are divorced... am I lonely? not at all, am I fearful, not at all, and do I care what the status quo thinks? NO and I never have... be who you are... more power to you!

It is cruel. I'm Pagan as well. People need to get over there selves!
