The federal reserve is a private central bank, if it were federal it would take so much to get an audit. Which means if the government doesn't seize control it can print money all it wants.The more money is printed the less value it has.
So the spending the government is doing only causes the fed to print more to buy the debt, which means less value to the dollar. And as the dollar devalues it effects everyone who uses it, from the consumer to the employer.
The fed printing money is the exact reason why prices soar. But I do agree that there are too many people dependent on the fed to get rid of it right away. If we let government to control the printing of the money, they won't go so wild. And then let gold compete with the paper money.
