Paul Ryan, the one man who has actually written a budget for the country since Barack Obama took office, will run for Vice-President on Mitt Romney's ticket.

This changes the game. Mitt Romney, by picking Ryan, has thrown every canard against him and against capitalism itself, straight into the faces of Barack Obama, the Democrats, and their whole undisciplined machine.

Ryan has two other advantages over many of the other candidates:

He is a Congressman, not a Senator. The Republicans cannot spare any of their Senators just now, especially the true conservatives among them.

He is a natural born citizen. Marco Rubio, sadly, is not. His parents didn't get naturalized until he was five years old. (But any of Senator Rubio's children should be eligible.)

But his biggest advantage is: He doesn't care what others think, so long as they do think. Which most of his detractors clearly do not.

That budget that he actually got the House to pass earlier this year is the first attempt in a long time to get control of our out-of-control spending. By choosing him, Mitt Romney gives us a choice, and a stark one: Responsibility or irresponsibility. Freedom or slavery. Solvency or insolvency. Wealth or debt.

Oh come on....(real) Conservatives want everyone to have jobs and prosper. How does all of these thousands of new regulations on small business and the cost of compliance really help the middle class?

Your key word is real. There are very few real conservatives around anymore. The phony conservatives have taken over. Phony conservatives are too ignorant to realize that the rich are screwing them too. I am probably better than most people here but am far from being filthy rich. I realize however that republicans will work to serve the very rich at the expense of everyone else. As I am not in favor of transferring wealth to the rich, I will be voting for Obama.

As is your right to do....You are correct, there are very few real conservatives anymore. There actually used to be a bloc of conservative Democrats but they've been chased out by the extremes as well. Trouble is Obama wants to "level the field", and that will include taking from the middle class as well. That's the only way he'll be able to support all his new giveaways. The middle class does not know what's in store yet. Unless Obama is stopped, it's going to get a lot worse. We shouldn't accept the crappy economy and unemployment as the new norm.

With Mitt, there will no longer be a middle class. There will only be slaves to the very rich. The way to fix this problem is through Keynesian economics, not voodoo economics. Now is the time for the gov. to deficit spend to create demand. Soon that won't be needed and at that time taxes need to be raised on the very rich and the military and prison industrial complexes should be cut way back. That will start bringing some fiscal responsibility back to the country. We really do not need a war on drugs nor a war on Islam.

I know there is a brain in your head somewhere try using it, and stop listening to the BS being flung around. No one wants dirty air, dirty water or transferring more wealth to the rich.

Well why do so many continue to vote for such things? A vote for Mitt is a vote to transfer wealth to the rich.

I am kinda sorry that I don't live where you can turn on your tap water and light it on fire. That has got to be cool. lol

I have no problem turning on my tap water. Never been able to light it on fire. Do you really think that any of us would want to expose our children, and grandchildren to any of these things.
Keep listening to Obama he will lead you down the rosy path to ruin if he gets another 4 years.

You didn't see that news segment about someone lighting their tap water on fire? It was all over the news. I am sure if you google burning tap water something will come up.

Listen to Mitt and be prepared for another economic collapse. I prefer to have the stock market around 13000 rather than below 7000. But hay, that is just me.

Other then being a BS monkey for Obama what is your point? Watch the stock market if Obama gets reelected. You will be lucky if you have a dime left in the market.

lol, That is what they said about Clinton. Guess what they were wrong and they were wrong about GW being able to maintain a balanced federal budget. Voodoo economics just doesn't work. Even the smarter republicans will admit this.

That's right just stick to the candidate's own propaganda. Doesn't matter what anyone else says about it. Romney is 100% correct. This is really sad and pathetic. I feel sorry for someone who is so easily taken in by the dark force. Good luck if Mitt wins. He most likely will take some of your wealth so that he can pay less.

lol, poor misguided soul. Mitt has made it very clear that he will shift the tax burden from the rich to the middle class. Of course you can also expect state and local taxes to increase, just like what happened under GW.

I agree with everything you said. I never disagreed with you statement about the economy except that freedom should always be the most important issue of every American. Paul and Johnson both want to deeply cut government spending and loosen regulations, lower taxes as a means to stimulate and encourage businesses.

They go hand in hand, you can't focus on freedom of speech when your country is going down an economic vortex. Fix the economics then work on maintaining the our unalienable rights. You speak as if we lost all our freedoms, and although they are being chipped away at, we still largely have them. The idea that Americans have lost their freedoms is untrue, there have been restrictions, but none are lost.

We have differing priorities. I would rather be broke and free than rich but living in a police state. We will never agree. Your greed takes priority for you.
  • TheTailor john Kills 2012/08/13 03:27:06
    TheTailor
Sure sure, it's always the other guy that's greedy, how imbecilic. It hasn't anything to do with getting rich, it's a matter of survival. As I said earlier, see how free you are during an economic collapse. The market is a separate entity from government, it has to be healthy for anyone to be free, stopping the run to bankruptcy is what ultimately brings freedom. Money being the vehicle for people to thrive, debt being the yoke that restricts freedom.

Fix the economic issues first, pass a Balanced Budget Amendment, it's far more important than bitching about the Patriot Act, that can be dealt with later.
