Pretty messed up that a military photo is viewed in the same way as a snapshot of some kid wearing a corona or budweiser cap. And that is probably what caused the policy to be adopted.
I grew up military and I served in the army. I hate the fact that this photo will not be deemed acceptable. What are we coming to as a country?
If the school thinks the Muslim girl had no choice, I think if the principal looked deeper into the subject, he would find that this is as much of a requirement for an official picture as the girl's lack of choice in wearing something covering her head.
Any military members out there who can give credence to this? I would like to know!
As far as I am concerned he has put his photo in the yearbook in my heart and will be forever remembered. Thank you Jordan Westgate. My prayers will be with you and Merrimack Valley High will someday come to know what a purely plastic society they are endorsing.

He is showing what he is standing for and his support for our country and i think that the school should have given him the respect enough to show this. He is putting his life on the line and the school wouldn't honor his patriotism in the simplest way of showing his enlistment photo.
