Ah so history does repeat itself! If that were to happen you would be saying goodbye to the majority of our scientists. Much like when Hitler wanted to eliminate Jewish scientists. Someone told him that it would hurt germany's science department. He responded that he didnt care if germany's science was driven in to the ground. Well look what happened those jewish scientists found new homes, in America and helped us obtain the atom bomb.
    Remember everyone:

Science flys us to the moon

I know quite a lot of people that will miss me, and other atheists I know. I also think that a lot of the scientists will be missed.

I think he'll find himself missing us quite a bit when thousands of doctors, police, EMT's, Military personnel, and other people on whom he will at some point depend, are no longer here. I think hateful bigoted douchebags, who pervert the name of a great teacher, to justify his evil; should leave...the planet.

Actually people like him should leave the country. They are hateful bigots, and do not offer any thing good or decent to our country. In fact they are an embarrassment to the U.S.

If he wasn't tax free, he'd be the one who wasn't missed. Useless parasites.

I agree only in that religions, races, and combinations thereof should each have their own country, or peace will never last for long. Tolerance is overrated.

The country is big enough for people with different beliefs. The main thing we should be concentrating on is being reasonable with each other and not objecting to every single thing we don't personally agree with.

Just an example. While I'm not what you would call a practicing Christian, do things like a prayer before a ball game hurt me? No, if I don't want to participate, I don't. Do public display of religious holidays hurt me in some way? No they don't and if it takes a little public money to put them up, I don't care. When you consider the ineffecincy of government, that is small potatoes.

At the end of the day, I just wish people would stop listening to the fanatics from BOTH sides.

Of course you have valid points, but have you ever had your kids treated badly (in public school) because they were not christians?

Jane, I honestly can't name one time where this was an issue. My wife and I raised four children in Texas and really never had any problems at all.

Lucky you, it was not the case for 2 of my 3 children and I can't wait for my husband (who is 6 years younger) to retire, like me and we can leave the state of his birth. He was once proud to be a Texan, times have changed.

I can confirm, some more liberal minded people do believe in the christian god. but why should they leave? this is their home to. are you just going to toss people out only because you don't like them?

Because liberals hate anyone with different beliefs than them being the collectivists they are.

hates anyone with different beliefs... says the person that wants to toss them all out. and taxing the rich a bit more so they can pay more of a fair share is bad? using that money to help the debt problem, and pay for programs that help struggling families and other serves like police, fire, parks, and disaster aid? or i guess it's a better idea to give the people with the most money even more money by doing what with it?
  • MorbidC... reaper 2012/06/09 08:44:09 (edited)
    MorbidCynic
Taxing the rich more won't help the economy. And if you care about struggling families help them yourself you lazy, greedy bastard, and get others to do the same. And what the hell do you mean tossing out beliefs, what does that even mean?

yeah, i do what i can but i can't do everything. and taxing the rich would help out. I mean, what are they going to do with all that money? hire more people when they aren't even making enough money to buy anything? or at least give the workers a pay raise so they can at least afford to buy something.

as for the tossing out beliefs part, i mean toss the people out. you seemed to of indicated the idea of that.

Liberals want conservatives (and capitalists) to have less rights so conservatives should be allowed to want to throw them out. And guess what? The poor will always be around, deal with it. And taxing the rich will actually make it harder for poor people to get a job and make money.

hmm, lets see, you can be liberal and capitalist. no really, you can, quite a surprise huh? in fact most are. you seem to be in favor of something called plutocracy. as for Liberals want conservatives (and capitalists) to have less rights...

you should ask how the gay community feels knowing you voted away their right to get married when I don't see it as a problem. or women trying to take their reproductive rights away. or how about some states making laws where you can not hold some form of elected office if you are an atheist?

there is plenty of studies and info that show how "trickle down" economics does not work, the rich get richer and poor people are still without jobs

This 24 year old Morbid C who lives in the arm pit of Colorado (which is a great state) seems to be educated by The Fox News entertainment world. If one is educated by hatred and lies they are not worthy of your communication. I would not bother with him.

If people like morbidc is the kind of "good Christian attitude" considered the norm and acceptable among coservatives, I'll hang with the liberals that don't put much faith in ancient belief systems, and were not going anywhere.
