Google Maps just released a new feature that lets you actually look around the street with 360 degree street view. What you think about this new feature? Do you like it?

It's okay..

I can see the validity of it, however personal privacy is an issue.

I like the feature, but it will be really cool when it is live footage 24/7. Think of all the crooks we could catch!!!

Well, it wouldn't work out here in the country where I live.
It's like they talk about the environment being better if more people used mass transit instead of driving their cars....there ain't no such animal here, no choice but driving my car to get where I need to go!

I think the concept is powerful. The site itself is rough. I can imagine numerous applications where the service could be useful to various businesses, i.e. real estate. It would be real swift to have it real time, especially of freeways before I get onto one.

also google is slow, the photo says it's 2007, but the picture of my house has two building in it that we tore down three years ago.

I suppose it could be helpful for people who are more site oriented in
their driving. As for me, a real map is far more helpful.
