Pakistani doctor who helped CIA find OBL jailed for treason. Is there a reason we give Pakistan billions in foreign aid while we cut social security and veterans benefits.

    Giving money to these countries that hate us is the height of stupidity. Pakistan is not our ally. If they were, the doctor would not have been tried for treason much less convicted.

    We can't do it right away because our armaments access Afghanistan via Pakistani soil.
    After we pull out we should cut any aid because this is tantamount to them being angry that OBL was captured. Proving they never wanted him to be. In time, we should find out where he's being kept and if possible do a sting with the Seals and get him out.

    I do not see any logical reason to give Pakistan a dime of US taxpayer money . The country of Pakistan has some 70~90 nuclear warheads , they have a missle system although old technology can deliver these warheads about 200 miles. And it is reported that Pakistan has enriched fissable materials enough to build over 200 bombs more. Now why does a nation that can fend for itself , and is wealthy enough to already have built on the ready 70~90 nuclear warheads and in the process of building 100's more, need any financial help from the American taxpayer. If it were not enough to take the slap in the face to all of us Americans that have tried to help Pakistan, by (1) Pakistans' reluctance to support our U.S. efforts to get rid of terrorist , if it is not enough already that Pakistan (2) knowingly safe harbors known terrorists and gets mad at America when we have to go in and take out the terrorist , if it is not enough already that after Pakistan (3) hides Bin Laden from justice for years , if all of those mentioned above are not enough to cause America to shut off every dime of any kind of aid to Pakistan , now as we can see , (4) Pakistan is well off enough to afford a nuclear arsonal that could wipe out every city within 200 miles of its borders , So folks , they dont need our ...

    We should take care of not only our own but those who help us. This man was left to be tortured and die in a Pakistani prison but we raised such a ruckus about a blind Chinese dissident simply because it was more popular. A press-op!

    We should have gotten him out while we could but now we need to tell Pakistan give him to us in safe, healthy condition or we want our money back now and there will be no more of it. We need to ask our allies to support us in this and to follow our lead.

    We, whether as individuals or the country as a whole, are only as good as our word. We need to speak and act now.

    Although I'm sure some think otherwise...



    Mrs. Obama, I'm sure this man, who did more to get Bin Laden than your husband personally ever did, who put his life on the line for the safety of not just the US but the whole world, had a great deal of hope that he would not be abandoned by the very people he helped. Where is his hope and change? Are you proud now?

    The United States should go get that Doctor and get him out of there!!!! We should have gotten him out before Pakistan could do this. What is wrong with us? We need to get him out now! Cut all foreign aid to Pakistan.

    I used to think that Jimmy Carter hated the military more than any other president, until Clinton. Hillary hates the military more than any other president. Then came along Obama who has proven that he hates the military far more than Carter and Clinton combined. It has been absolutely sad to see how his divisional politics and racial favoritism have trickled down into the military. For the first time in my adult life, I actually see Soldiers self-segregating into racial groups. The tension is palpable, and this President is entirely to blame. He throws our military under the bus for a handful of votes, why should anyone think that he'd lift a finger to help this doctor out? There isn't a loyal bone in the narcissist's body. Its ALL about him. America and her friends be damned!

    We need to cut off foriegn aid to almost all Countries, till we can get our own Economy back on track. Obama is sending our money elsewhere faster than we can make it, so we have to borrow more money, and go farther in debt. He is out to Bankrupt America!!!

    YES!!!! YES!!! We do need to cut aid to Pakistan. So why in the hell are we not doing it? We know they say they will help us in the fight against the Taliban, but how can that do that when they are in bed with them? our own governmental it's they didn't tell them about attacking Bin Laden because they knew they would have tipped him off. well if we don't trust them why are we aiding them?

    Even if our government did give us answer on that one, it would be something in the neighborhood of "Pakistan is vital for our nation's security and therefore we must ensure that the government does not fall under the sway of the Taliban". Too many government officials think the American people are too stupid to come up with ideas of our own, let alone figure what is BS and what is truth when it comes to stuff like this.

    As far as this Doctor who helped us find Bin Ladin. I find it interesting how the CIA can get people in and out of a country seemingly at will. Why didn't they take this doctor out after he spilled the beans? The persons involved had to know his life would be in danger once word got out.
