It started almost 30 years ago, in 1975, with "Jaws." This movie had me wonder so many times if swimming in the ocean was a good idea after all. Well, here's another story -- except this one is true! A fish that eats testicles has been discovered in a lake in Illinois -- and has already bitten off the testicles of two fishermen!

HUFFINGTONPOST.COM reports:
When biologists say the pacu fish eats nuts, they may be correct in more ways than one. The pacu, a toothy fish that can weigh up to 55 pounds, has been spotted in Lake Lou Yaeger in Illinois, KSDK reports.

Alligator gar. I know they're in the Trinity River and Rio Grande in Texas, but not sure where else. My grandpa was afraid to take his small flat-bottom boat into the river after seeing one of them longer than the boat come up to the top of the water. I don't think they're dangerous, or none of my family was ever attacked, but they look mean lol

those fish use to be common place and they were bigger, but like everything when we fear it, we kill it. Nice fish though, i love fishing and i would love to have that fish on the end of my line.

Yeah, we used to find them dead on the bank, the smaller gars anyway. People would catch them and toss them there to die, which always bothered me. They'll give you a good fight on the line, if they don't break it or bite through.

Supposedly there's never been a record of one attacking a human, but not everybody goes to the hospital when hurt......eek eek eek LOL!

Well, I had read there hadn't been an attack, but according to FOX there has been known attacks on humans. I've never seen or heard of an attack, and am sure they're ultra rare.
Just when you thought it was safe...to go back into the water..muwaahhaaaahhaa.

yet another Invasive Species ..
dumped into Our Lakes/Waters ..
(this species is native to South America .. )

and folks wonder why our native species .. whether in the waters, the ground, or flying above .. are being threatened ..
obviously .. this has the hands of 'irresponsible humans' in it ..

(there's several invasives in FL .. amongst which include several varieties of Snakes that are a plague on the state .. )
