Out of all the planets in the galaxies billions of light years away. Are we the only organisms that can talk and so forth?

That infinite sky is a Divine tapestry. And here is something that every conventional astronomer assiduously denies, and jumps through hoops to deny it: *we are at the center of the universe.* To be precise, the Galaxy of which we are a part, is at the center. Moreover, the entire universe rotates *with us* along an axis that is not only parallel but *coincident* with the axis of our Galaxy.

Yes there are aliens. After the findings of water on mars alien organisms are possible. But intelligent life forms might be billions of light years or beyond. That is why they are not able to reach us.Or the space ufos seen shooting out in space through the earths atmosphere that our f 16s were not able to catch might take billions of light years to reach back and inform to their planet about life on earth or they might use black holes so if they come back by a black hole they might land on another time.Either their lifespan is too big or ufos are just machines and simply take millions of years to reach back. There are thousands of hypothesis. Its simply crazy.

To have the arrogance and proclaim ourselves the only thing in the whole universe is ludicrous. We cannot be the only sentient lifeforms in the entirety of space-time. Though it might be difficult to encounter another race due to the timescales involved in rising and falling of other civilizations and the vast distances that separate us.

OK. First I selected this answer as a joke. Because it is. How can any supposedly-intelligent educated human with his /her inborn curiosity intact and capable of critical thinking possibly believe this absurd conclusion?

Recently the Hubble Telescope was aimed at a dark corner of the sky where nothing had previously been seen, an area "the diameter of a soda straw". And what did they find? "...Hundreds of Thousands of Galaxies"! And this, even as yet more "exo-planets", some even resembling our own, are being discovered orbiting distant stars in our own galaxy.

Part of the ancient wisdom known as Hermetic Principle states that "As above, so below". How well I learned this in my years of scientific data collection when we would presume to characterize a river the size of the Mississippi using little more than a spoonful of its water! Yet the data collected generally withstood all tests and controls and was accepted into the system as representative of the greater whole.

"As Above, So Below". We are IN the Universe. We are an integral PART of it and thereby REPRESENTATIVE of it as a whole. So we have already sampled OUR little corner of it and gained some understanding of how the entire vastness functions.

    ...The rest awaits.

I think there are aliens that look like us and are a lot more Intelligent then us.... just check the crop circles all over the world. They are delivering a message to us, but no one wants to pay attention to this. The message was gritting in England's field and it look's like they are not happy about our behavior hope we can change before is too late!

Well, we know that the probability that life exists in the universe is 100%. And that's just from the small sample that we have available to us. And we're not sure that there isn't more life lurking somewhere in our solar system.

Given the age of the universe, the number of galaxy clusters, the number of galaxies in those clusters, the number of stars in each of those galaxies, the potential number of those stars with planetary systems(very high according to the Kepler data), the odds are greatly in favor of life having happened on at least one of them.

I don't know if any of it talks, but communication between individuals of a species seems like a fairly advantageous thing to lots of animals on our planet, so it's probably likely.

We probably won't get to meet any of them for a long long long time though. If ever.

I agree but did not like the choices. Calling someone from a world other than one's own an "alien" to me sounds arrogant. To them WE would be alien. Depends who is doing the visiting (can we *prove* they haven't been here? -ever?) and what they look like (at least *some* might seem familiar to us...) so *who* is calling *whom* "alien" and why?
  • Radical Ed bill.fi... 2012/07/02 19:56:07

sort of why i called them a different species :)

Agree on your choice of terms and in the vast majority of cases it's likely corrrect. Still am open to the possibility that beings with the ability to travel the galaxy could also in certain cases be the same species. It's a very old universe and we are relative newcomers. There is still a lot to learn.
