Out of all the planets in the galaxies billions of light years away. Are we the only organisms that can talk and so forth?

unknown 2012/07/01 05:36:26I think there are aliens

But then again, no one can prove the other way around. The only truth is:
Nobody knows.
It's amazing how many people believe that there are aliens, even though there is no proof that there are any, yet those same people need proof before they will believe in God.
It is improbable that there is a deity, that said deity is attributed the massive amount of Superman powers it has been attributed, that it has a PERSONAL relationship with each and every one of us, that said deity magically poofed an entire solar system into existence for the sole purpose of creating humans, AND that the tales told about it are absolutely true in every respect.
While no scientist has ever been able to prove the existence of a deity (In fact, attempts to do so have made some very startling naturalistic discoveries), no theist has ever been able to provide ANY proof of ANY of their various gods or religions being true in ANY respect.
God has superhuman powers because He IS superhuman. Humans are very small, weak beings (even when compared to other organisms on Earth - whales, elephants, lions, etc, etc, etc). It doesn't take very much to be 'superhuman'.
It is more probable that God "magically poofed an entire solar system into existence" than that it was magically poofed into existence by CHANCE.
Humanists consider humans to be the epitome of creation, yet humans cannot build a house, motor vehicle, etc. without a plan to follow. This plan does not magically appear. It needs an architect, engineer, designer or someone to desighn it . It is unimaginable that the whole universe and all (including the life we see around us) would (or even COULD) have come into existance without a designer. This 'designer' would have to be SUPERHUMAN. No human could ever design all that we see around us.
I just find that it is easier (requiring less 'faith') to believe that everything was created by a Creator than by chance.
There's also a difference between directionless random chance that most people try to equate with things and emergent properties from well known physical systems. Planets form by accretion and gravitational attraction, no magic needed. Stars form the same way from nebula, again no magic needed.
As far as "Was there a creator" the answer for me is "I don't know". Until such information crops up that there IS one, that will REMAIN my answer. It is idiotically arrogant to say "there is one" without any evidence and even moreso to then claim that one knows exactly what that selfsame creator thinks, does, looks like, likes, dislikes and behaves without any evidence whatsoever.
Philosophy is like looking for a black cat in the dark.
Theism is like looking for a black cat in the dark that isn't there
Apologietics is like looking for a black cat in the dark that isn't there and shouting "I found it!"
Science is like looking for a black cat in the dark with a flashlight.
What? So how many humans do you know that fall up and disobey the law of gravity? How many humans do you know who wantonly show their disregard for the laws of physics by throwing lightning from their hands?
What are your evidences and proofs for "God did" all these things you're CLAIMING your deity did? What makes you think it's YOUR specific deity? What makes any other religion any less valid or yours in specific MORE valid than any other? Who gets to define what all the criteria for this is? Remember when I said there was arrogance and stupidity in claiming a deity DOES certain things without evidence, thinks things and says things without evidence? Remember me saying that? Why are you claiming these things now without providing evidence and expecting to be taken seriously by anyone?
Also, what's with the personal attacks and insults? Are you deciding to be offended on behalf of your deity? I certainly didn't make any personal attacks on you, I pointed out flaws in reasoning with apologetics and assuming what a deity that is, by your own definition, beyond the comprehension of we "mere mortals", thinks, says, does or behaves like.
It's almost like you took personal offense to that for some reason...
(If you're REALLY as dumb as I think you are, you'l say that I'm saying the world is flat)
But it's just so hard to believe we're the only f****d up creatures in the galaxy..or further even..there's got to be someone who beats us at that..else we're really the most vicious kind..
