After kicking butt on losers who would dare to fly our flag uspide down here is a post that you will not be kicked off from.
It is inexcusable to do such a thing as a matter of political protest(!
(Only a low life Nazi would do such a thing! Only a quitter would do such a thing! Only a loser would do such a thing!)
The Flag Code states, "The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property." It is an unreasonable stretch to argue that the political purposes constitute "dire distress." Clearly this was intended as a call for immediate emergency assistance. We recommend that people who wish to express their political views find a way to do so that is respectful of the flag. Remember that to some the flag represents the government of the US and its policies; but it also represents the sacrifices made in all generations to protect our freedoms. It represents the promise of the Declaration. It represents our freedom of speech and our freedom to practice or not practice religion as we choose. It represents one nation in its strength and glory. It represents faith in a better future. We recommend that you show your respect for the country and for the flag and make your political views known in other ways. It is not illegal, it is disrespectful to the memory of those who gave their lives protecting your freedom to protest.

THE FLAG CODE
Title 36, U.S.C., Chapter 10
As amended by P.L. 344, 94th Congress
Approved July 7, 1976
§
176. Respect for flag: No disrespect should be shown to the flag of the
United States of America; the flag should not be dipped to any person
or thing. Regimental colors, State flags, and organization or
institutional flags are to be dipped as a mark of honor.
(a) The flag
should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of
dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.
Most individuals who have served in the military service of our nation will (or should) recognize this signal.
With the NDAA and executive orders that are taking away the freedoms that our soldiers have bled and died for, this country is in distress. Take action now show this socialist regime we have had enough and will not stand by and watch him destroy the country that we love.
Obama is a communist, my grandfather and uncle and father fought to keep communists out of this country and know we have one in the white house WTF?
it is not disrespect, my god people. really? If you don't want to do it
because you don't believe this country is in dir distres...

Flying the American flag upside-down has a specific and long-held meaning: it is an internationally recognized sign of “dire distress” signifying “extreme danger to life or property” (US Code Chapter 10, 176 ).
Now here are the rules.

4 USC § 8 - Respect for flag
No disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America; the flag should not be dipped to any person or thing. Regimental colors, State flags, and organization or institutional flags are to be dipped as a mark of honor.
(a)The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.
(b)The flag should never touch anything beneath it, such as the ground, the floor, water, or merchandise.
(c)The flag should never be carried flat or horizontally, but always aloft and free.
(d)The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery. It should never be festooned, drawn back, nor up, in folds, but always allowed to fall free. Bunting of blue, white, and red, always arranged with the blue above, the white in the middle, and the red below, should be used for covering a speaker’s desk, draping the front of the platform, and for decoration in general.
(e)The flag should never be fastened, displayed, used, or stored in such a manner as to permit it to be easily torn, soiled, or damaged in any way.
(f)The flag should never be used as a covering for a ceiling.
(g)The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature.
(h)The flag should never be used as a receptacle for receiving, holding, carrying, or delivering anything.
(i)The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner whatsoever. It should not be embroidered on such articles as cushions or handkerchiefs and the like, printed or otherwise impressed on paper napkins or boxes or anything that is designed for temporary use and discard. Advertising signs should not be fastened to a staff or halyard from which the flag is flown.
(j)No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform. However, a flag patch may be affixed to the uniform of military personnel, firemen, policemen, and members of patriotic organizations. The flag represents a living country and is itself considered a living thing. Therefore, the lapel flag pin being a replica, should be worn on the left lapel near the heart.
(k)The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.
I respect the office of President, or Senator, or Representative, or judge, but unless they earn it, I do not have to respect the individuals.
Do you really think that our lives and property are not in danger in our current circumstances? I believe they are.
An upside down flag is a sign of "distress" and after 3 years with this president, we are much more distressed than under Bush.
Every patriotic American that fears for our nations future should fly it upside down on memorial day.
Didn't Obama play golf last memorial day or did he go to a fund raiser instead?
Flying a "distressed" flag is very patriotic, it shows someone is aware of the danger this country is in.
Political disagreement is not a valid reason.
