Open letter to General Patraeus from a former Navy SEAL

snipe 2012/12/04 15:59:00

General Patraeus Sir,

We seem to have a President who was willing to let GOOD MEN DIE to hide something else, something very sinister that was happening in Benghazi. You KNOW more than what you let on, Sir.

Your recent testimony before Congress appeared to throw the Administration under the bus, but lingering questions remain. Rice is a distraction. We want to know the truth.

WHAT WAS OBAMA HIDING THAT HE LET 4 GOOD MEN DIE IN BENGHAZI?

You were the head of the CIA and as such you have the information that the people seek. Silence will betray your honor, if the full truth is not revealed.

That night we got our rear handed to us by Muslim Brotherhood ideologues who alternately want to kills us or enslave us. The people YOU call co-workers are either in league with the enemy or have the same objectives. Four American men and a little piece of America died that night. They died because someone in this Administration watched the battle rage for 7 hours, yet still gave the order to STAND DOWN as Americans were overrun, tortured and massacred.

WE WERE ROUTED BY THE ENEMY AND OUR OWN GOVERNMENT CHOSE TO LET OUR PEOPLE BE SLAUGHTERED!

WHO GAVE THAT ORDER, SIR?

WAS IT YOU? WAS IT SOMEONE IN THE ADMINISTRATION? WAS IT THE PRESIDENT?

WHAT IS THIS ADMINISTRATION HIDING THAT IT WAS WILLING TO LET GOOD MEN DIE?

Is the Obama Administration actively running guns, Fast & Furious style to Libyan rebels?

Was Ambassador Stephens sent to Libya to coordinate something with Al-Queda?

Was the Obama Administration planning to free high level enemy prisoners?

IS THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION ACTIVELY FUNDING AND ARMING THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD?

You are a great General and have served and led your country from the highest levels of power.

We, the American People ask that you to LEAD US NOW. Come forward with the POWER instilled by your years of service and the HONOR of your Military OATH. You are an amazing American who has done so much for your country. Do NOT fail us now, Sir. STAND for the America you grew up in and fought so hard for all these years. It is your civic duty to TELL THE AMERICAN PEOPLE THE TRUTH ABOUT BENGHAZI!

For Liberty,

Benjamin Smith

I always wondered why Gen. Patraeus would dishonor himself by further associating himself with the same people who disparaged and slandered him.

Rolling Stones Magazine called him "Betray us" .
Obama and Clinton spent 15 minutes in the senate denigrating him and never allowed him to speak once.
Biden said he was an idiot and that it was impossible to believe that the Sunni Shiite and Kurd`s could one day form a government as Petraeus said.
Obama concurred. He even campaigned on the Petraeus Surge not working and the war was lost.
He was made fun of and criticized by ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, NPR.
    All the left hated him

Fantastic questions that will never be answered. Those that do have those answers are either on-board with the "plan" or to scared to come-forth.

Yes, Mr. Patraeus, tell America or die in disgrace.
    1) "WHAT WAS OBAMA HIDING THAT HE LET 4 GOOD MEN DIE IN BENGHAZI?"
    2) The order to "stand down": "WHO GAVE THAT ORDER, SIR?"
    3) "IS THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION ACTIVELY FUNDING AND ARMING THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD?"

I don't think, as long as Obama is in the WH and Holder is DOJ, that we'll ever know the whole truth of the abomination known as "Benghazi."

Maybe he is, maybe what you people in the US need to do an insurrection. But you will probably just whine and cry like you always do then over eat and fall asleep in front of your televisions. You talk the talk but you seldom walk the walk. Got another one of your drones, what is that two that you know about. I hear we have six drones. What is that saying you people in the US say? oh yeah, "what comes round goes round"

Nobody gave the order to "stand down." That is another delusion from the Conservative Disinformation Network.

In addition to reinforcements sent from Tripoli to Benghazi, and reinforcements sent from the CIA annex to the consulate itself, a Quick Reaction Force was deployed from Europe to Sicily, but arrived too late to help with the consulate attack. Remember that the attack on the annex did not start until 4 hours later.

Further, "there were no American forces poised and ready to move immediately into Benghazi when the attack began" (- http://www.armytimes.com/news... ). FYI: "No American forces" means "NO American forces"! "American forces" includes ground, air, and naval forces!

In response to a Fox News story claiming CIA operatives in Benghazi were prevented from aiding U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens during his time of need, the CIA says it never instructed any of its personnel from helping the four Americans who died on Sept. 11. In an e-mailed statement, CIA spokeswoman Jennifer Youngblood says "no one at any level in the CIA" told operatives at a local CIA annex in Benghazi not to help Amb. Stevens:

"We can say with confidence that the Agency reacted quickly to aid our colleagues during that terrible evening in Benghazi. Moreover, no one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need; claims to the contrary are simply inaccurate. In fact, it is important to remember how many lives were saved by courageous Americans who put their own safety at risk that night—and that some of those selfless Americans gave their lives in the effort to rescue their comrades."

The blanket statement is in response to a range of allegations brought up by Fox News's national security correspondent Jennifer Griffin. Among the allegations, Griffin said "sources who were on the ground in Benghazi" said CIA operatives about a mile away from Amb. Stevens' compound were told twice to "stand down" after hearing gunshots during the night of the assault. (The gunshots were heard at approximately 9:40 p.m.) Additionally, Griffin's report says that former Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods disobeyed orders to "stand down" and rushed to the U.S. compound housing Amb. Stevens alongside at least two other personnel. After receiving fire from militants near the compound, the team reportedly evacuated everyone they could find and returned to the CIA annex to call for more backup. "At that point, they called again for military support and help because they were taking fire at the CIA safe house, or annex. The request was denied," reported Griffin. There are a number of details in Griffin's story that will likely raise more questions, such as an extended account of a security officer manning a "heavy machine gun" on the roof of the CIA annex who couldn't receive assistance from higher ups. For now, the CIA isn't saying no one was ever prevented from assisting the U.S. compound but it is vowing that the agency itself never played a role in denying those requests.

2.2 White House Did Not Deny Backup:

    [QUOTE
The White House on Saturday flatly denied that President Barack Obama withheld requests for help from the besieged American compound in Benghazi, Libya, as it came under on attack by suspected terrorists on September 11th.
"Neither the president nor anyone in the White House denied any requests for assistance in Benghazi," National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor told Yahoo News by email.

Most likely, Obama didn't like the information about the ongoing terrorist attack in Benghazi, as this information contradicted his claim that he had destroyed Al Qaeda. Because of that, he not only didn't attempt to rescue the 4 Americans in Benghazi, but tried to suppress any information about the terrorist attack by publicly portraying the attack as a "spontaneous demonstration" of the angry Libyans, upset by some stupid video.

Yes, I would, and in fact I left him a comment on his facebook page. My family has a strong Navy background with some liberal some conservative. But all of them were raised to respect and honor the office of the President of the United States even if they didn't care for the person occupying it. They also know that when you spout politically inflammatory hyperpartisan garbage, using your military service record as a way to give your message more "authenticity" is BS. You honor your military and your service to it. You don't use it for political flamethrowing.

The President has not committed treason. And for a former service member to claim that he has when there is no credible proof to sustain that opinion is a dishonor upon him. This letter's author is nothing more than a loud-mouthed tea party political operative spouting more lies and propaganda to try and slander the President in the social media.
