I think everyone who opposes this should move out of Chicago, hell the whole state, all together. These type of gun laws only apply to law abiding citizens. Criminals could care less, actually it makes the criminals MORE RICH when they pass more legislation limiting gun ownership because it drives up the price of the weapons that are just as easily obtained. I don't think convicted criminals should have access to guns, that should be law. I think there should be a waiting period before ownership is approved, for obvious reasons (crimes of passion) but registries, and tax penalties, and limits on ammunition is a blatant violation.

Perhaps you should organise a gun owners rally to show how many citizens of your state own, and how many won't put up with this sort of legislation?

The Supreme Court of the United States, just 21 months ago, said, specifically, that the city of Chicago could not infringe on its citizens' 2nd Amendment rights, in McDonald v. Chicago, 561 U.S. 3025 (2010).

Rahm or no Rahm, I think it's safe to say the 2nd Amendment in Illinois is more secure than it's ever been.

Chicago already severely infringes on the 2nd amendment and wants to do it for the rest of the state. They are just ignoring the Supreme court. If obama gets reelected and appoints more of his corrupt judges, they will decipher the 2nd amendment and all the rest of the constitution however obama wants them too.

Get your friends to sigh the petition and pass it on to everyone.
