On This Anniversary Of 9/11...What are your thoughts?

Little Angel 2010/09/10 21:17:56

I know we all agree on the fact that it happened
and that it was most likely the largest disaster in
America. What are you thinking? Do you think
our Government really told us the truth of what
really happened?

I. for one, do not. I saw the planes hit the towers
and also the towers come down. There is no way
it happened the way that our Government said.
And there is also the fact that Building 7 came down
& I don't believe that what happened to the Towers
could have caused that. There are just too many
unanswered questionsas far as I am concerned.
Did you know that there are still people who do not
know that Building 7 came down too?

I hope that all Soda Heads take time to remember
tomorrow on September 11, 2010. Pray for the
survivors of the victims and that they may some
day know the truth of what actually happened.

Now tell me your thoughts on this.......
You!

I witnessed the planes striking the towers on television. The second strike was in real time while they were showing the flames from the first tower. I believe that Jihadist Muslims were the perpetrators. They even shouted "Allah Akbar" (sp), "Praise Allah" as they did their suicidal attacks. I am not sure that there wasn't more assistance performed from the ground.; so they may not have acted alone. In the meantime, 9-11-01 is our modern day "Pearl Harbor".

Utter sadness that a day of mourning and reflection was turned in to a day of "us against them" by right wing politicians and demigods looking for an edge this fall. F*cking pigs. It's like blowing up a church in the middle of a funeral mass. Or killing a doctor during during a church service. Or protesting at the graves of the fallen.

My thoughts are from 9/11/2001 and forever more passengers of commercial aircraft, especially Americans, will never be "passive" under assault again.

It gladdens my soul to see an unruly, dangerous passenger get the crap beat from him/her by others on the same flight who've summoned up the courage to act, regardless of any religious affiliation.

I will fly my American flag, the Stars and Stripes, at half staff in memory of those who died and hope I may, in some small way, add my talents to defend America from ever seeing another 9/11 so long as I live if called to do so.

Finally, I expect to hear cricket chirps instead of expected outrage from Muslim Americans condemning those hideous acts against our nation. I want to believe those are good citizens, but their voices need to be louder than the voices from islam cursing and spewing hatred toward us and our nation.

I am tolerant, but only to a point. Beyond that point, I don't speculate or apologize...

The unanswered questions have been answered unless you choose not to see it. Why do people choose to believe the impossible and not what people visually saw. All this has been answered but everyone seems to love a conspiracy.

I Understand all this. Anyone who can believe that 20 towelheads without camels can take a bite out of the US....... Well it just has to be a conspiracy. I have nothing but praise for the victims and the heroism of the people who tried to save them. Next year will be 10 years so if this year is nuts watch next year.

I feel for those families that are reminded of this horrific event. I just have one question: "Why didn't Bush go after Al-Qaida and get Bin Laden?" Those were the ones responsible for the deaths of all those innocent people.
Instead, he goes after Saddam because he had weapons of mass destruction and the military didn't even find a damn B.B. Gun.
We are still left with that murderer running free and there are no signs of catching him. Yet, the U.S. will have spent in the neighborhood of a trillion-dollars funding a war that should have be fought against Al-Qaida.

I feel that each day we are closer to the next attack. Sooner or later our shoddy border control will allow a suitcase nuke or some Muslim with a death wish to enter and places like San Diego or Houston or San Antonio will pay the price. Everyone will wring their hands and say I told you so, but right now those same folks are playing games. I wrote this a year ago...

As I watched ABC News this evening and the follow-up on the 9/11 babies I started to cry. Every year the pain of the moment when the 2nd plane hit returns. The pain when my co-worker opened her e-mail to: One of the towers just collapsed. The pain of going down to my set of trainees and finding one standing in front of the TV staring and looking at the screen just as the 2nd tower collapsed, hearing her just say, "I need to go, my son's father is in there."

The panic of knowing that my niece should have been right there and the next hours trying to find out her fate.

The e-mail from my sister saying my niece had missed her train and the tears of joy, yet of sorrow for the friends my niece and nephew lost.

I will remember the unity in the aftermath and wonder what happened to us in those 9 years that has divided us so greatly. Did they win?

I believe MIT, Popular Mechanics, Popular Science, the government, the 9-11 commission, the 100's of engineers, the 100's of architects, the air training facility, the people on the phones from the planes, and , yes, the men who tell us they planned it and were only sad they did not kill more.

I do not believe the fools who would rather believe that their fellow Americans did it - WTF is wrong with them. Let's see a conspiracy of thousands and poor old Dick Nixon couldn't get 5 guys to shut up - really now, it is beyond logic or reason. I guess they are the same sort who believed Pearl Harbor was planned and applauded by FDR. Same stupid, stupid people, just a new generation of fools!

I think that at some point the "Truth" stuff was a fad, but its died down. There are so many articles and shows that debunk the myths and questions that the small group of avid "Truthers" bring up. And for some reason they keep playing naive to those answers.

Do we know everything about what happened? Probably not. We don't know everything about most events in history. But the basic facts are correct. And the perpetual denial by "Truthers" is more harmful than helpful.
