Christ on a bike, if it works for them, and they are proud of it, who are we to judge? I don't think socialized medicine would work in the USA. But it isn't fair to say that other countries are wrong for having it, especially if they are happy with it.

I thought most of the opening ceremony was goofy as hell, but I give them credit for putting their health-care system front and center. It absolutely IS something that should be celebrated.

Propaganda from the Brits. Socialized medicine doesn't work in most of the world.

Why oh why were they speaking French first? Gosh what an insult.

The hospital at Great Ormand Street is suppose to be their best but it's still low on the list compared to the USA's.

My best friend had to wait for a much needed operation. When the date finally came for the operation she ended up getting the flu and then the hospital put her at the end of the Queue again to wait all over again. She was in so much pain she could barely eat and lost tons of weight and it was hard to take care of her boys so her mother helped her.

No thanks to socialized health care!

It's the Illuminati Olympic Games. Were you expecting something different? Even their symbol-blocks for the logo spell out "ZION".

If they were honest there would be coffins for the people who die waiting for the government to approve and fund needed life saving care for those deemed too old or sick to deserve care.

Everything is awol now. If we dont deselect the current incumbent and not select the obvious nominee, but the only nominee that wants to restore our Constitutional Republic, well be celebrating Obamacare from our own beds too, because thats what is gonna happen, It didnt pass yet, but if we give him 4 more I bet the Health Care Overhaul gets signed as an EO if Congress and Senate get the darn thing repealed, This is what THE OBAMA loves to use is his EO grabs

Dumb - not to mention boring. The only good parts of the opening ceremony were Mr. Bean, and the Queen's 'jump' from the helicopter.

I admire the British, and I'm thankful that Virginia was a British dominion. But, the opening ceremonies were a bit dull compared to those in China last time.

When will we Americans learn that the world about us is insanely jealous of our success and desires to bring us down to their own hurt. The only reason I watch the Olympics is to see America exibit their dominance over the world. Yes, even our athletic prowess showcases the benefits of a free society!

Not in the least! I am all for the care of those who need it. Such displays by the organizers of the Olympics is an attempt to make a political statement based on what has beem happening in American politics. The Olympics have been politicized and the cermonies reflect alot of "we are the world" mentality. That bothers me, for I am totally opposed to this "let's get together and sing Kumbaya" mindset! I believe that the Olympics are being used by globalists to create the idea that a one world organization such as the UN ought to be able to supplant our nations sovereignty. Perhaps many think this is far fetched thinking, but I know the "god" of this world is blinding many to his devices. I se this mentality being pushed in the whole of the entertainment industry from music to movies to sports and I am totally against it. I want people to see we are not superior because we are better than anyone else, but because our freedom makes the end result supreior! America's fredom is a model to emulate and we are losing the battle right hear in our own country because of such proaganda as is being displayed in the Olympic opening ceremonies!

um... No the rest of the world does not want to bring us down with them, they want us to stop attempting to force our policies on them. The Brits and Us Obama work together to bring down the US Economy. The plan is to crash the financial system and implement a financial system like the EURO that can track and record everything you do. It has nothing to do with foreign nations men wanting to destroy us, but our own POTUS, as well as previous administrations that work for the FED aka the multi billion dollar private central banking cartel. They work for the elite, and because they work for the elite it seems as if the rest of the world wants us to fail, but they want us to successfully unelect Obama and elect Ron Paul so the US stops policing the world advocating democracy when in reality were propping up dictators and funding them

As a (new) Brit (Ex South African) I thought that the whole thing was well thought out and cleverly put together, BUT! .... I don't think that the Olympics was the right platform on which to present it.

Well stated. I thought it was out of place to have a clearly political event at the supposedly non political Olympics.

This show was a montage of British history and the NHS is a very important part of that history, and is something worth celebrating.

And I have to say that their NHS is the way to go unlike obama's health tax.

Too bad you have to wait anywhere from 6 months to a couple of years for one of those beds, turning many mild illnesses into a serious illnesses.

Misery likes company and with the EU economy collapsing from too much Socialist spending, it is not surprising they would want to drag us down with them.
