Keith Kimmel is suing his state’s tax commission over its rejection of his request to put the words “I’m Gay” on his license plate. Kimmel argues that the denial violates his First Amendment rights, and that it represents a double standard because license plates with messages such as STR8FAN and STR8SXI have been approved in the past.
Last fall the tax commission turned down his request for the “I’m Gay” license plate, arguing that it violated an internal rule against tags that “may be offensive to the general public.” The Oklahoma City Community College student filed a lawsuit in response to the denial last week, asking for his application to be granted. His attorney calls the state agency’s decision “viewpoint discrimination.”

Straight men seriously hang "balls" from their trucks? xD
So do you find it offensive that other religions have places of worship? I am sure your religion recommends against that even stronger.
And as far as telling people you are ok with that ... you are not - he is stating he is gay not you or your church.
Your god telling you that you are right does not give you the right to discriminate.
Your religion is between you and your god not you and others.
I don't "discriminate", but I do have an opinion on the subject. My beliefs (aka values), sir, make up who I am as a person, so they do direct how I treat others and how I behave as a citizen. To say that my beliefs are not between me and others is silly and shows a lack of understanding about people. Everything we believe directly or indirectly affects how others perceive us and how we relate to others.
We are not talking about what affects your behavior, but about rights.
When I said your religion is between you and your god I meant that the rules that you live by based on that should not be forced on others who have different or no religion.
You said "Common sense tells us that homosexuality is abnormal, God tells us we're right. The gay lifestyle is against humanity, just as stealing, murdering, incest, polygamy, and bestiality. So, yes, "offensive" is a nice way of saying that."
You didn't say that you think it is abnormal. You were claiming it was abnormal and that if people didn't agree with you they don't have common sense.
Gay people have the same rights as straights; they just want "more" or "additional" rights.
They don't want additional rights. What additional rights do you think they want?
You don't even know what my sexuality is.
I don't care what sports team people like either and yet they wear it on their shirts and hats.
Not worshiping other gods is one of the most important laws within Christianity and yet you are fine with that, but not with homosexuals - hmmm. Methinks there is more than your religion to this.
I have no idea how you know I am or am not a shrink and I have no idea what bearing that has on this.
Some people though, will go out of their way to get offended, hell, I still post here...
Maybe they should count their blessings, but it should also make us understand them more and why the sometimes want to shout out that they are gay.
