Not a case of what happened before. That in the eyes of the courts (The folks that matter in this matter.) what happened before did not happen. He was tried on the evidence in this case and found guilty and that should be the end of it. Unfortunatly, it will not be. I can already hear the voices of the masses rising, saying racism and payback. And the lawyers and press is already saying just that.

The media always uses the news from OJ Simpson to distract from the real issues, set up irrational correlations, etc. Remember this taking the stage over Oliver North's procedings? This news "rears its head" everytime something significant is breaking in news.

I still remember how whites were horrified and blacks cheered when his not guilty verdict was read. I hope we all look at this verdict as Americans, not races. When someone is obviously guilty they should be convicted, not let go to make up for unfairness to blacks in the past (or women).

I'm concerned about the abuse of the media by special interests.

I didn't see blacks cheering. My friends thought he was guilty, but getting out of it because of his money. We should judge on a case by case basis; not by lumping racial groups under the actions of one individual.

No one is lumping anything. I understand the anger and frustration some blacks felt at having been mistreated by the judicial system. I do not like having been a victim of rape, and having been a victim of domestic violence because of my gender...but that does not mean I cheer criminals going free. Cheering a murderer being let go as vindication is pretty screwed up...and you need to realize most blacks thought OJ was guilty of butchering two people in cold blood. Not all African Americans cheered him, many were disgusted. It is still sad to see so many who did. It would be like me murdering my husband and getting away with it and then being cheered by women because women have been abused by men for years. Screwed up. Wrong is wrong.

He's not locked up and won't be because he provides a sensationalized distraction from the real issues.

I heard them say he gets sentenced in nearly 30 days. There is a process involved in this. There will be witness's come to testify to him being a good or bad person and the jury will deliberate again as to how much time he has to serve.

I think many people are fed up that the Goldman's haven't received their justice.

Oh, I am so happy that murderer is finally going to jail. I realize that this was for a different crime, but jail is jail. Nicole and Ron's family must feel some justice in that.
