Nothing can atone for this. Words of wisdom? Few- except to review how easy it is for unstable individuals to obtain arms. Fat chance: the rich and the right will fight it.

God did not do this Hazel. We did this. We spend so much time trying to get stuff that we forget what's important. Elected officials spend so much time trying to get more money and more power that they forget that their purpose is to defend the people of this country. You should not get mad at God because the government did not train and arm those teachers or have armed security in place. Rather we, every man and woman in America should be mad at the buttholes who are too busy trying to tax the rich and give free health care to non- contributors to worry about protecting our children.

No words of wisdom but maybe words of consolation. Just as there was a crazed representation of evil there gunning down children, there were also angels there. Teachers and staff that placed themselves between that evil and Gods children. It's easy to only see the negative in our time of grief but, maybe one of those children saved will be president one day, or a great Christian leader and lead many to salvation. Or, maybe one of those spared will go on to save another life in the future. At the very least, you can believe that there are parents all over the country that remembered how to pray even if just for a little while.

I know this pain so well Hazel. It's only been since 2008 since we lost Charles. I wanted to get mad at God but I couldn't. They asked me to do the eulogy. I also did my young sister's eulogy. Both times I chose scriptures about the temporal nature of this life, and the eternal nature of Heaven. I had the job of keeping others from getting angry with God. In doing that it brought a degree of comfort to me. We need to remember that this life is just the vestibule that leads to eternity. That being said, I'm angry at the shooter and very sad for the parents. We have to remember that God loves each and every human more than we ever would be capable of. He loves the unlovable. But many people reject him and choose the other path. Children are innocent. All 20 of them are in the arms of Jesus.

    Please read Isa. 57:1

Take care sweetie. You are such a kind hearted person. God bless you my friend.

Unfortunately, in giving man free will, this kind of thing can happen. It is the down side of man's right to choose good or evil. Some choose evil...and these are the consequences. It's not God's fault.

I just want to pay my condolences to those parents. There are no words that will help however or words of wisdom. If you believe in god.....you then believe they are in a better place. This time of season is the birth of our lord jesus christ and my prayer is this..." Lord please welcome these harmless children into your fathers house and help there parents during these troubled times. Amen.

I found this poem on another website today. Don't know who wrote it but wanted to share it with everyone:
Twas’ 11 days before Christmas, around 9:38
When 20 beautiful children stormed through heaven’s gate.
Their smiles were contagious, their laughter filled the air.
They could hardly believe all the beauty they saw there.
They were filled with such joy, they didn’t know what to say.
They remembered nothing of what had happened earlier that day.
“Where are we?” asked a little girl, as quiet as a mouse.
“This is heaven.” declared a small boy. “We’re spending Christmas at God’s house.”
When what to their wondering eyes did appear,
but Jesus, their savior, the children gathered near.
He looked at them and smiled, and they smiled just the same.
Then He opened His arms and He called them by name.
And in that moment was joy, that only heaven can bring
Those children all flew into the arms of their King
And as they lingered in the warmth of His embrace,
one small girl turned and looked at Jesus’ face.
And as if He could read all the questions she had
He gently whispered to her, “I’ll take care of mom and dad.”
Then He looked down on earth, the world far below
He saw all of the hurt, the sorrow, and woe
Then He closed His eyes and He outstretched His hand,
“Let My power and presence re-enter this land!”

“Come now my children, let me show you around.”
