HERE IS OBAMA'S RESPONSE WHEN HE BACKED OFF FROM HIS DECISION TO LET THE MILITARY PAY FOR THEIR WAR INJURIES..........SEND THIS TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW TO SHOW THEM JUST WHAT HE THINKS OF OUR MILITARY WHO FIGHT FOR OUR COUNTRY AND GET HURT AND KILLED PROTECTING OUR FREEDOM!!!

I guess I underestimated the selfishness of some of my fellow Americans."

The quote was not made by President Obama but by the writing staff of the Jon Stewart show at COMEDY CENTRAL. Stewart made fun of this proposal during his satirical news/current events program and included a fictional quote attributed to the President.
It was a politically egg-headed move to begin with, but to attribute the quote to him is erroneous and not entirely fair. It's almost like spitting on our veterans reminicent of the Viet Nam era when not the president but our fellow citizens, opposed to the war, took it out on the soldiers coming home. That was a disgraceful time in our history and was misdirected anger! This too is misdirected. Be angry that he would ever propose that private insurance cover war injuries, but don't pin a satirical quote on the man. Play fair, children!

Ok, lets start with him joining is "volunteer mandatory" service to our country youth brigade (don't complain it's volunteer remember)
next we can place him in harms way with HIS proposed lack of protection lie better vests and reinforced hulled tanks,
then he can get shot or maybe hit a land mine removing his leg or arm,
then he can come back and see why it it was so puzzling to him!
was that easy enough for his little head to understand or should i have a child say it

if this is what he said then there is no mistaking his lack of American ethic, American loyalty and American pride. This person is not American, not the kind of American that I am. Add to this his absolute arrogance towards us and disrespect towards the office he holds, I am not just appalled but I am disappointed in this country for his getting even one vote.
How could anyone ever give a vote to such a person, its beyond comprehension. .

he president of this country MUST respect our fighting men and women, remember his job is Commander and Chief of the Armed Forces, if he doesn't want to protect them, give then the equipment they need and rightfully deserve and more so expects them to pay their medical bills received in service to the country, while supporting free medical for illegal immigrants, then I am a better American, in fact between the two of us I am probably the only American.

The economy is is a bad way, but you can never spend your way out, its a time to cut taxes rather than raise them as Mr Obama is doing, its time to let small business thrive, not be taxed out of existence, let big business make money, they are the ones that hire all of us, with the money we make from them we spend and that stimulates the economy. Mr Obama wants to tax them out of existence, make them move out of the country, then where is your job or mine going to come from, the government?

It sounds harsh but id you like living in a socialist, communist society, with high taxation and limits to earnings and government control go to one of the many countries that have this in place, don't ruin America, we are the land of the FREE, please don't take that lightly.
I lived through the recession of the 70's it was worse than this and it worked out because taxes were cut not increased, government spending was limited not increased..
I'm sorry that you feel that there is anything personal in any of this, I just really would like for you, just as for my kids and grandkids to have the opportunity to become successful in a country that is the best in the world, we are really the only truly free market country and I believe that we are the very best.
In this country you sink or swim, I have sunk a few times, I've spent time treading water to stay afloat and Ive been successful on lots of occasions, however I have never taken a handout from my government, only a hand up from the soul of the country that offers everyone success in exchange for hard work and dedication.
This is the land of opportunity, seize it, I know about living in a socialized society, they all would love to have what we have, they come from all over the world to have freedom to succeed.. Why would we ever what to be wards of the state?
