President Obama will most likely win all of New York's 29 electoral college votes in the 2012 election -- with or without strong Jewish support. Jews only represent 8.4% of the New York population, and Obama will likely get more than half of their votes. However, don't confuse the Jewish vote and the Jewish impact. Jews have a large effect on influence and fundraising. The Weekly Standard reports:President Obama's support among Jewish voters in the state of New York has dropped 22 percentage points in only a month, according to the results of a just released poll.

The poll, conducted by Siena College, finds that currently President Obama has the support of 51 percent of Jewish voters, while 43 percent are opposed to him. Five percent are undecided. That means, Obama's lead among Jewish voters is at 8 percentage points.

Most Jews, including pretty much all of my family members, live inside the liberal big city bubble, and have slid left far to the left with the liberal news and entertainment media over the decade since I left. They tend to view Republicans as either stupid or evil (or both). So it's one thing for Jews to feel dissatisfaction with Obama for spitting on Israel and supporting the installation of radical Muslim governments across a wide swath from the Atlantic to the Caucasus, but quite another to actually pull the lever (or push the button) for Obama. Even if Obama does win substantially less than the 78% of Jewish voters he got last time around, it's not going to lose New York. Florida, however, could be a different matter entirely.

Your message illustrates precisely what is wrong with and in the Jewish community, as a lot of Jews are beginning to realize. The common practice for a long time has been to take the most liberal position on any issue, and label that position "Jewish."

Your talking points are mostly arguments from authority (and you assume, without warrant, that Jewish people have any respect left for the authorities you cite, *if* you are citing them correctly!).

And the things that Romney has said about Obama v. Israel: those are no lies. I've watched Obama for years on the matter of Israel. I have come to the inescapable conclusion that Obama would let the Arabs shove Israel into the Mediterranean, if the Arabs were capable of that. His treatment of Prime Minister Netanyahu last year spoke volumes.

Well I take with a grain of salt anything printed in the Weekly Standard. but for the most part American Jews are liberal because they have been on the receiving end of bigotry. However there are alway some exceptions and one only has to look at black Republicans to know that nothing is absolute
