According to the CBO, public debt will be larger than the entire US economy by 2023. The CBO model show the standard of living beginning to decline by 2015 and the economic model completely breaks down by 2027.

It has to end but to end it and resolve the problem we need a House and Senate that believes in fiscal responsibility.

Not really, It's Bush's, Clinton, Reagan, and Obama's fault along with Congress and Senate for spending so much on wars, and welfare for the rich, as well as mismanaging programs (ever wonder how France has the #1 healthcare system but #4 in cost even though it's completely socialized, and our private system is #7 but #1 in cost) to benefit the corporations, spending money fighting a "war on drugs" instead of taxing drugs and making money among so many other bipartisan mismanagement

in 2000, projections out to 2010 showed deficits of $100B per year over those 10 years. the wars added roughly another $100B to those annual deficits.

the tax cuts were supposed to (and did) increase tax revenues substantially, after a slow start.

what nobody anticipated was going over a cliff when the real estate bubble burst.

Bush added $4T to the national debt over 96 months. awful. terrible. whatever adjective you'd want to use.


under Obama, we've run 1.2 TRILLION in annual deficits (plus or minus) and look to run another similar deficit this year. Obama will have added $5.5 Trillion in deficit spending in 48 months. i can't think of any adjective to describe that performance.

Obama hasn't fixed anything. we aren't fundamentally any better off than we were in 2007. we're gutshot and instead of doing surgery to fix the wound, he's transfusing trillions of dollars of deficit cash while Bernanke offers up this insanely easy money policy.

unemployment is arguably no better now than when he promised us that TARP would never let unemployment get above 8%. after all that money, we're fighting to get it DOWN to 8%.

I live in DC so with 87% Registered Dems. I'll vote3rd party as usual since I only go to vote on local reps
