Obama’s ‘Body Man’ Resigns After Allegations of Past Homosexual Behavior?

~ The Rebel ~ 2012/08/29 12:59:49
The former personal aide to Barack Obama known as the president’s “body man,” Reggie Love, resurfaced on the eve of the Republican National Convention to support his old boss.

The White House explained Love had decided to pursue further studies at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, but the Internet, at the time, was abuzz with speculation that Love was dismissed because of the wide circulation of compromising photographs of him when he was a college student. The photos purported to show a heavily inebriated Love surrounded by fellow students assisting him in engaging in a homosexual act at a party on the rival University of North Carolina campus.

Did you even read the blog? Or are you just so messed up you don't comprehend what you're reading?

No I read it...but it kind of was a bunch of vague accusations about "pictures" that weren't shown...so...it sounds kind of like BS no?

If you're suggesting I blog the pics - you're sol! I sure ain't interested in seeing them. If you are, you might want to do a search...

Find one of your own. You have to be one of the laziest people I've run across on sodahead!

If there was no truth to the story why is he out of the limelight?

"Not to people that aren't too lazy to do a search for them."

I can only assume that you don't know where they are...or that you're too lazy to search for them yourself.

Note that I have no real stake in finding these pictures...and considering it is either you or the author if the article making the accusations that actually DOES want to show that such pictures exist and that the resignation was due to these "gay accusations"...it is up to you to actually show that is a reasonable assertion.

I'm probably one of the best 'diggers' on the internet. If I want to find something I'll spend hours searching. I have no interest in seeing the pics. Therefore I guess it's up to you to prove they don't exist and unless you do the search you can't!
  • iamthem... ~ The R... 2012/09/03 17:59:36
    iamthemob ~ the 444th Guru ~
The entire point is that if there were these pictures, and there was a potential scandal...there wouldn't BE any need to dig.

The person making the accusation in the article would also have been able to easily link to them.

The accusations, therefore, remain baseless until some evidence can be shown otherwise.

You do realize that you're making the argument that "since it's out there, you have to disprove the accusation" that's kind of the same argument Reid made about Romney's taxes, no?

PS - a google search for "reggie love" and various combos of "gay" and "pictures" produces a couple of images that are what they seem to reference...which if that's what you're talking about...yeah, no...it was a bunch of guys playing a prank on a sleeping person.

Tell me that's not what you're resting on.

I never did a search for any pics. I could care less about what the guy did. My whole point was why he lost his job over something so common today in this immoral country...
  • iamthem... ~ The R... 2012/09/03 18:05:15
    iamthemob ~ the 444th Guru ~
    (1) You are ASSUMING that he lost his job because of this, without looking at any underlying evidence.

    (2) You are ASSUMING that anything underlying the claims made in the article are actually a reason for him losing his job.

    (3) You are ASSUMING that he has lost his job, rather than actually moving on as he claims.

Not necessarily. But, I do believe if you can prove an article wrong then you should go for it...
  • iamthem... ~ The R... 2012/09/03 18:20:45
    iamthemob ~ the 444th Guru ~
    (1) The article does not link to any pictures that would support it's claim.

    (2) The following searches provide no evidence of any such pictures:

(or any other permutation of the searches)

    (3) Where an article provides no evidence for a claim, and there is no clear evidence in basic searches, then there is no reason to believe it.
  • ~ The R... iamthem... 2012/09/03 20:07:40
    ~ The Rebel ~
You do a quick (10 minute?) search and claim there's no evidence. Get real ~ sometimes it takes me hours to do a search!!!
  • iamthem... ~ The R... 2012/09/04 16:16:42
    iamthemob ~ the 444th Guru ~
The article ITSELF should present the information. It doesn't. And it's not available to see.

In cases like that, the reasonable person DISREGARDS the claims in the article until they can be actually supported.

It is not the job of the READER of a claim to prove the claim for the author...it's the other way around.

I'm a blogger and you're a nitpicker/pest. If you don't care for the way the article is done contact the one that wrote it and see if you can get the pics. I sure don't want to see them!

    Aren't you a "blogger"?

There is no research needed! I blogged an article as it was written and that's all that's necessary...

I think we have a semantic issue here with your use of the term "blog."

I don't think posting something here, on a Q&A opinion site, is you "blogging" particularly when you didn't actually write the article.

See... you've just proved I'm right! So many people have asked me to block you from commenting on my threads because of your nitpicking and so far I've not done it. But I can see their point!

Dude, after reading that exchange, I can tell that you that you possess way more patience than I. That person who claims to be a blogger is an obvious lunatic, yet you tuckered right along trying to have a logical conversation, as if there was any chance of coherency. An exercise in futility.
